Diablo 4 is too easy for you and there is no challenge that really tests you and pushes you to your limits? Don’t worry! According to an expert, a new endgame activity is set to debut in December that will even scare the toughest among you.
What activity is meant? It is about the upcoming event “Abattoir of Zir”. This activity is intended to be accessible to anyone who has completed the season journey in Season 2 and has nothing left to do in Diablo 4. The challenge is supposed to be an activity so difficult that even the best meta builds in Season 2 will reach their limits. An expert was present at BlizzCon and spoke with the developers about the “Abattoir of Zir”.

Similar activity to the Greater Rifts from Diablo 3
Where does the information come from? Wudijo, an expert and well-known streamer in the Diablo scene, was able to test the “Abattoir of Zir” in advance at BlizzCon and form an opinion about the activity (via youtube.com). He noticed that the activity strongly resembles the Greater Rifts from Diablo 3.
If you start such a portal in Diablo 4, you will be teleported to a random area where you have to fill a progress bar, keep an eye on your available time, and defeat the boss of the area.
The difficulty is supposed to increase exponentially and not behave like in nightmare dungeons. However, enemies will not become one-shot beasts; they will just take a bit more damage and have significantly more health, making them tankier.
Wudijo himself points out that the developers do not intend for players to overcome the final level of the Abattoir of Zir. It could even become so difficult that your endgame meta builds will have no chance in the current Season 2.
What rewards are there? Those who can overcome the first level of the Abattoir will receive the special glyph “Tears of Blood”, which according to Wudijo can be leveled up to 200 times. However, more details about further rewards have not been disclosed.
Will the activity remain after Season 2? According to Wudijo, this could be a trial run. If the activity is received positively, a future activity could appear in the near future, but this is more speculation than actual facts.
