Congratulations to the Twitch streamer Rob2628! Just 54 hours and 30 minutes after the release, the streamer managed to reach level 100 in Diablo 4 and was the first player ever to do so. However, he had a slight advantage: Rob had already reached level 100 before.
On Sunday morning at 07:46 AM, it was already time. The Twitch streamer “Rob2628” reached max level 100 with his Barbarian. In total, he needed 54 hours, 28 minutes and 29 seconds, including sleep. By that time, Rob had had 8 hours of sleep since the release.

How did he do that? Admittedly, Rob had a certain advantage. He already cracked level 100 in the preview version before the release and now managed to be the first player to reach level 100 for the second time – again before most could even start playing. The release for everyone who did not pre-order the expensive versions of Diablo 4 is not until June 6.
For his grind, he used a Whirlwind build with his Barbarian and took down most of his enemies in a fraction of a second. However, we cannot recommend it anymore – the Barbarian build with Whirlwind has been heavily nerfed and practically destroyed.
His strategy in the last hours for grinding experience points: He repeatedly ran the dungeon “Downfall of the Champion” in the Dry Steppes with some teammates. Teammates are essential, as they guarantee up to 10% extra XP.

Grinding dungeons together seems to be the best way to quickly and efficiently get through the marathon to level 100. However, “quick” is definitely a matter of definition. The developers at Blizzard stated that it takes around 180 hours to reach max level.
However, we at MeinMMO have also discovered in our research that it can go significantly faster, although we recommend another dungeon for grinding:
The race for the first player to level 100 is over. However, the hardcore race is still in full swing. Blizzard has announced that the first 1,000 players who reach level 100 in hardcore mode will be immortalized on a Lilith statue.
