Four players undertook a live speedrun in hardcore mode of Diablo 4 on Twitch. Together, they reached level 100 in under 4 hours – but then they had the idea to face the final boss. Spoiler: This did not end well for most of them.
Who are the streamers? The speedrun was tackled by wudijo, Raxxanterax, Chronikz, and Kondyss, and was streamed live on their Twitch channels on June 1st.
- wudijo is one of the Diablo experts from the well-known build site maxroll.gg, which has been engaged in theorycrafting for years. At the start of each new season of Diablo 4, wudijo streams his hardcore run to level 100 live on Twitch. He constantly faces new challenges, like fighting bosses with only poor items.
- Chronikz is also part of the maxroll.gg team and is responsible for the minion builds of the necromancer there.
- Raxxanterax is a Diablo expert who claims he wants to stream daily on Twitch for 10 years. He primarily shows ARPGs like Diablo 4, Path of Exile, and Last Epoch. His streams and YouTube videos are a go-to for many Diablo players.
- Kondyss is a Polish-speaking content creator who provides his community with videos and streams about Diablo.
How did the speedrun go? The four streamers created their characters in Diablo 4, choosing the classes: Sorceress, Necromancer, Druid, and Barbarian. To level up, the four streamers tackled one dungeon after another and completed their class-specific quests. In the nightmare dungeons, they split up to finish them faster while still benefiting from the group bonus for XP.
In between, they took a moment to clear their inventory, allocate skill and paragon points, re-roll affixes, and imprint aspects on their items. During the speedrun, they constantly communicated, which is especially important in the hardcore mode. Because if a player character dies, it’s permanent.
Level 100 in under 4 hours – and then came Lilith
When did they reach level 100? The four streamers decided that they would only stop their timer when the last one of them reached level 100. This occurred after 3:51:47 hours. Raxxanterax was the first to reach max level after 3:49:08 hours.
However, the four streamers didn’t have much time to catch their breath, because: They were tackling the hardest boss in the game now that they had reached level 100. However, they failed miserably.
How did they fail? They went together to face the “Echo of Lilith”. After just a few seconds, Raxxanterax noticed: Apparently, none of them was dealing much damage. Kondyss exclaimed, “Oh no, we are going to die to the boss.” And Raxxanterax yelled, “Guys, DPS?!” (Damage per second)
After about 10 seconds, all their health bars dropped significantly and the player characters died – permanently. Only wudijo escaped at the last moment, apparently with a scroll, and his sorceress survived. You can see that here on Twitch.

Shortly after the fight, Kondyss jokingly wrote in Raxxanterax’s chat: “wudijo traitor.” Because previously, they apparently agreed that they would leave the scrolls to escape in the chests. But wudijo also had to suffer a loss. After the speedrun, he switched to his hunter, entered the Pit (level 119) – and his hunter met her demise at level 100.
The fight against Lilith seems to be a bigger challenge for many in Season 4 than before. Some players are frustrated and say the fight feels as tough as against the “Tormented Echoes.” Others note that the fight simply isn’t worth it.
