It’s nothing unusual for streamers to face the toughest bosses in hardcore mode of Diablo 4. However, a PC company recently made a tough bet with one of them – and the entire community helped the streamer.
The boss “Uber Lilith” is a real tough nut that many have despaired over. She is also responsible for numerous character losses, as if a character dies in hardcore mode, it is permanent. Some players say that the fight against Lilith feels as hard as against the “Tormented Echoes.”
On May 31, the Diablo expert and Twitch streamer DarthMicrotransaction (short: DM) reported on YouTube that his sponsor Starforge had made a bet with him. If DM can defeat the boss Uber Lilith under certain conditions, he can raffle off a “really good PC” to his community. DM accepted the bet and prepared for days.
“Everyone wants this free PC”
What were the conditions? DM must defeat Uber Lilith in hardcore mode. He is not allowed to use any “assists,” such as a scroll that protects him from impending death by teleporting him away. Specifically, this means:
- DM must play in hardcore mode until Lilith dies – or his player character
- Without a scroll of escape
- He must defeat her on the first attempt
DM summarizes the conditions in the YouTube video and notes: “That’s probably the point where [the Starforge employee] might not realize it, but he messed up.” Because many witnessed the bet in the stream, according to DM “about a thousand people.” Everyone wanted to win this PC and the reactions were “quite funny.”
How did his community react? On his Discord server, various players immediately posted “Immortal Builds” for the Sorceress, including video clips. The general tone was, according to DM: “We can do it, guys.”
Individual players offered to help him test the builds against Uber Lilith in softcore mode before he tried it in hardcore mode. It was “super funny,” as everyone immediately banded together. In the livestream, DM then prepared for the bet.
How did DM prepare? He created a “clone” of his Sorceress in softcore mode to test the builds. He leveled the character to level 100, farmed the right gear, and went to the “Echo of Lilith.” His plan was: If he can defeat her multiple times, he would switch to hardcore mode and face the bet.

How did the bet go? On June 3, the “final day” arrived and DM faced Uber Lilith in hardcore mode. For skills, he equipped Firebolt, Flame Shield, and Firewall. In the video, you can see the community cheering the streamer in the chat with “Let’s Go!” messages. Starforge interjected: “And a bug is coming soon.”
According to the timer, DM defeated Uber Lilith after almost 34 minutes. He then said: “So Starforge, now that I’ve destroyed you in a competition, what’s next?” Then he turned to his community: “We should be able to take something else from them.”
During the fight, DM joked that the streamers wudijo and Raxxanterax were probably leveling their characters to level 100 by the time he defeated Lilith. While they weren’t quite that fast, the two streamers, along with two others, actually reached max level in hardcore mode within four hours. And they also faced Uber Lilith.
