Diablo 4 will also offer its own endgame, and you will gradually be confronted with it. Therefore, we show you in our overview which activities you can pursue after leveling your hero to keep you busy.
When does the endgame in Diablo 4 start? Basically, the endgame only begins when you have completed the campaign and reached the maximum level. After that, you have free rein to tackle various activities in the hack-and-slash. We show you what might be interesting for you and explain how they work.
This is what Diablo 4 has to offer in terms of endgame
Only with the maximum level of 100 levels does Diablo 4 become interesting, because from then on, the truly challenging activities for your heroes begin. Now let’s start with the first activity:
The Tree of Whispers
What kind of activity is this? The Tree of Whispers is one of the endgame activities that Diablo 4 has to offer. This tree will regularly provide you with new quests to tackle. If you complete these, you will be rewarded with loot, gold, and favors. Later, you can exchange your accumulated favors at the tree for more loot.
World Event: Helltide
What kind of activity is this? Blizzard has developed a special event for the open world that only occurs for you after you have unlocked and activated world difficulty “Nightmare”. The event is called Helltide and causes demons from Lilith to wreak havoc in Sanctuary. They are more powerful and stronger than you.
If you kill one of these beasts, they will drop “Ember” items. You can then redeem these at a special Helltide chest to gain loot. However, be careful, as this ember will be dropped as soon as you die. You can, however, pick it up again if you can find it.
Nightmare Dungeons
What kind of activity is this? Nightmare Dungeons are at the same level as Nightmare difficulty and are dungeons with challenging enemies and good loot. Once you unlock them, modifiers will be set thanks to the Nightmare seals that make the dungeon even harder. The more seals you collect, the harder it gets.
If you tackle more difficult world difficulties, additional Nightmare dungeons will also be unlocked over time.
Fields of Hatred – PvP
What kind of activity is this? These are large areas in the open world used for PvP. In this area, players can meet and compete against each other with various builds. Materials can then be obtained and exchanged at an altar for cosmetic items.
It is not a direct endgame, but it is very likely that many players with strong endgame builds will destroy you. So be warned if you enter these areas as a freshly baked hero.
What about the seasons? Diablo 4 is supposed to become a service game, delivering players new content constantly so that the fun never stops. Upcoming seasons could not only bring new cosmetic items but also seasonal activities that could bring fresh air like in Path of Exile. However, it is not yet possible to estimate exactly what Blizzard has planned before the release.
