Diablo 4 has heavily adjusted loot in Season 4. As a result, many builds that were previously significantly weaker than their alternatives are now quite strong. One player is happily laser-firing through enemies with just one button.
What kind of build is this?
- The Incinerate build focuses on the spell of the same name. Incinerate is a fire beam that incinerates enemies while piercing through them.
- Although you need to stand still to channel it, you deal significantly more damage per second. In the end, you only need one button: the one for Incinerate.
- On the tier list of the best builds in Season 4, the build is actually not found at all. Nevertheless, it is usable – under the right conditions.
What makes it so strong? The Incinerate build is probably one of the simplest, perhaps even the simplest build for Sorceress. A user on Reddit shows how he easily incinerates dozens of demons while standing still and spinning in circles.
We don’t know which variant of the build he uses. Icy Veins’ version looks quite promising and appears in the A-tier on the website’s tier list. Here are the characteristics of the build:
- Enormous damage, even against bosses and elite enemies
- Few prerequisites, you actually only need one Legendary: the Aspect of the Flame Thrower, which splits Incinerate into 3 beams
- The Fireball enchantment, which causes enemies to explode upon death, resulting in deadly chain reactions
- With Endless Pyre, you deal more damage per second
- Strong enhancement options through Uniques and Uber Uniques, such as the Robe of the Infinite or the Harlequin’s Crown (Shako)
Incinerate is one of the best builds for new players and anyone looking to try out Sorceress as a new class. A major advantage is that you have a perfect preparation for later cleanup in the endgame, such as with the Flame Thrower build for leveling.
The biggest problem with the build is that you are very mana-hungry. This can be countered with aspects like the Aspect of the Wonderkid and mana regeneration on items. Optimize your gear through hardening and completion if you have mana issues.
“Definitely Spin to Win”
Once the mana issues are resolved, you are nearly unstoppable. Your biggest weakness is that you have to stand still and wait for enemies to come to you to maximize damage output.
Additionally, you need to ensure that defensive skills like Flame Shield and Ice Armor are always available when you need them. If you have neither of these nor Frost Nova ready, a strong enemy can take you down quickly.
In the clip on Reddit, users compare the build to the Whirlwind Barbarian, an iconic build for weapon swingers that also only requires one button. In contrast to the Barbarians, however, Sorceresses are tied to one position.
Nevertheless, the Incinerate Sorceress seems to be quite popular among players. It is said that once the mana issues are cleared up, the build is incredibly fun.
The only place where you will likely hit a wall soon is at high levels in the Pit. Other builds are simply stronger here, and you cannot afford to be tied to one location. However, the content is a huge challenge anyway: Diablo 4: “Is this possible without cheats?” – New endgame content is so hard that not even experts can succeed
