Some players are playing Diablo 4 as wizards and are using various build options for that. However, a once very popular build has been nerfed so heavily that it seems deleted for some players – at least in the endgame.
- As a wizard, there are three different elements that can be used in battles – fire, lightning, and frost. All elements have their advantages and disadvantages.
- To quickly reach the endgame of Diablo 4, we have put together a level build for your wizards.
- With a fire wall build, you aim to burn opponents and watch them die from afar. The build is ideal if you want to blast through endgame content.

What do the players say? On Reddit, the topic is addressed by the player “1990feels” among others. He writes that “it is definitely fun to play a Hydra build. Oh wait, Blizzard nerfed it […] and deleted it from the endgame.” (via Reddit).
“JarrodAHicks” adds that he had a lot of fun with the Hydra build during the campaign of Diablo 4 (via Reddit). However, when he switched to a frost build, he noticed the significant DPS difference. He also had real difficulties dealing enough damage with his hydras in World Tier 3.
One of the last patches of Diablo 4 strengthened the wizard in offense. However, that is not enough for many players.
Compared to other classes, the wizard is said to have received the least buffs, which is why many players see the class as the clear loser:
