What was the bet about? Five months ago, Asmongold made a bet with a viewer during his livestream. Asmongold said that Blizzard would not sell inventory expansions for real money within six months.
The viewer disagreed, but now Asmongold is at risk of losing the bet. The stakes are all items from the Diablo 4 shop. According to Asmongold, that’s around $500, or about €450.

What is this survey about? Blizzard regularly asks players to find out which sometimes controversial ideas can expand the game. In the current leaked survey, Blizzard presents plans for differently priced expansions. The participants of the survey are asked which expansions they would buy. The expansions offer different features.
A leaked survey was discussed in detail by YouTuber Bellular in a video. An expansion could cost between $50 and $100 and come with different features.
Which features does Blizzard want to sell to players? Blizzard has allegedly asked in a survey if it would be acceptable to offer the following when purchasing a premium expansion:
- A piece of armor without stats, in various variations for different classes
- A new mount that is not a horse. Can unlock new features such as new skins through in-game achievements
- Premium shop currency Platinum
- Wings with animations and visual effects that are wearable for all characters
- Access to one or more battle passes
- Access to the expansion before all other players
- City portal skin – A unique skin for home portals
- Guide access to unique in-game items with stats
- Additional inventory expansions
When is this expansion supposed to start? The survey refers to an expansion that is supposed to come out next year. Such surveys are usually created by Blizzard one year before the release of the relevant content. So a lot can happen before the release. Blizzard will certainly also take a look at the community’s opinion and wait to see how the proposed features are received. Whether Asmongold will lose his bet remains to be seen.
