Early in the night of June 2, Diablo 4 was released. Many fans prepared for the launch and played right at launch. One user reports how lovingly his girlfriend prepared the perfect start for him, even though she is not a gamer herself.
This is how the release went:
- At 01:00 on June 2, the servers of Diablo 4 went live for early access, without major issues.
- Only on PS4, the error “No license found” is troubling players, who fear they might have to pay real money for a fix.
- Overall, the launch is already considered by fans to be the best in Blizzard’s history: no server issues, no queues.
Here’s the surprise: On Reddit, the user Charming-Airport-196 shares how his girlfriend prepared the start for him. He came home from a long day at work and found:
- a poster of Lilith with the inscription: “Do not disturb, currently playing Diablo 4” on the door of his gaming room
- a tidy desk with the PC already booted up and Diablo 4 installed and practically ready to start
- a selection of sweet and salty snacks along with a large bottle of Cola for the release
The user writes that his girlfriend is not a gamer at all and still prepared everything for him so well. This is well received in the community, and at times even causes envy. In one comment, fignutss asks: “Where the hell are these women? Oh, screw it: Or men?!”

“Put a ring on her”
Others who are in a relationship recommend that he should definitely reciprocate the favor to his girlfriend. A relaxing day with a spa, cooking for her, taking care of the household. Showing her that he appreciates her and thanking her for the great gesture.
In the discussion, however, most users advise the thread creator to definitely marry his girlfriend. If he doesn’t do it, they will take over. At least, if their wives allow it first.
Some rough jokes go in the direction that if it isn’t a ring, he should at least get a collar. Or both. Something to make sure she stays with him, because he apparently hit the jackpot.
Diablo 4 brings a lot of joy to fans and gamers. Blizzard seems to have hit the nail on the head here, and once again having a release that actually works on PC is, for some, already reason enough to be happy. Meanwhile, the average age of Diablo players appears to be relatively high:
