On Reddit, a player shares a heartwarming story about how he helped others reach World Tier 4 in Diablo 4 and even learned something in the process.
What tips are these? Diablo 4 offers many sources for decent loot, and one of them is the so-called “gambling.” Through events, you can receive “Murmuring Obols” and exchange them for random loot at your trusted curiosity dealer.
The dealers are found in every capital city, and you can recognize them by the money bag symbol with a question mark. The dealer spits out a lot of junk but is also generous with providing Legendaries and strong items with high item levels. Unique monsters, by the way, have the highest item power.
Reddit user “AwesomePrawn” guided the 70-year-old player “Bad JuJu” through the final dungeon for World Tier 4 and picked up some tips for “gambling”:
- Pay attention to item edges when gambling – they can also be “Holy” or “Empowered”
- “Holy” or “Empowered” purchases can be stronger than the regular ones
- If you want different items, switch your world
Actually, the curiosity dealer only changes his items when the dealer reset occurs. However, if you switch to a friend’s world, you will find a different offer here. If you want “Empowered Shoes” but your dealer doesn’t have any – look in other worlds.
“Bad JuJu” even said you could just log out for a moment and log back in, and the offer would change. I tested that immediately, but it unfortunately didn’t work for me. However, there was a different offer in the world of a fellow player.
By the way, it doesn’t help to visit a curiosity dealer in another capital city. They all have the same offer. Additionally, you need a certain minimum level for items – “Empowered” curiosities are only available from level 73. “Unique” items are not available here.
There are players who don’t use “gambling.” Others run past dungeons. However, both can be rewarding:
