You are considering playing Diablo 4, but you are not sure which class to try first? MeinMMO will help you make the decision. Answer our 10 short questions and we will tell you which class suits you!
What classes are there? At the release of Diablo 4 there will be 5 classes for you to choose from:
- Barbarian
- Druid
- Rogue (“Rogue”)
- Necromancer (“Necromancer”)
- Sorceress
Similar to Diablo 3 and Diablo Immortal, you can freely choose the gender and even customize your character visually. Each of the classes plays uniquely and differently.
What makes the classes special? Each class has its own unique mechanic, which sets it apart from other classes. Necromancers, for example, can rewrite their abilities with a book to shift their focus, Sorceresses can change their spells through passive abilities.
In the first official tests, it was already clear that you can change your builds and talents, albeit at steadily increasing gold costs. At a certain point, it should be smarter to start a new character than to bear the costs.
Some of you have already decided which classes to play. You can see the results in our list of the most popular classes in Diablo 4. For everyone else, we have compiled a few questions to help you with your selection.
The 3 first classes that were introduced were Barbarian, Sorceress, and Druid. In our special, we explain what Barbarian, Druid, and Sorceress can do, and in the video, you will see gameplay of the classes:
Which class should I play? 10 Questions
The questions are designed so that you can answer them without overthinking. Just decide from your gut and you should see a class that fits you in the end. If you see several classes, different playstyles are probably suitable for you.
We have provided a short description for each class to help you decide on one of the classes. If you want to take the quiz again, just refresh the page.
Have fun!
You do not have to permanently decide on one class in Diablo 4, but you can play multiple characters. However, reaching max levels with one character alone takes 180 hours according to Blizzard. So you should be at least sure that you want to play your first or second character for a while.
Diablo 4 officially releases on June 6, 2023, for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. Before that, there will be an open beta, for which a date is still missing. Pre-orderers of the more expensive versions can play 4 days early. You can find all information about Diablo 4 in our overview:
