You have decided which are your favorite classes in Season 23 of Diablo 3. Two of them are fighting hard for the first place. The others are clearly behind. We will show you the winners and losers.
This is happening in Diablo 3: A few days ago, on April 2, the new Season 23 in Diablo 3 started. It is based on Patch 2.7.0, which fundamentally revised the companions. In addition, Blizzard made some balance changes, which altered the best classes.
We asked you before the start of Season 23, which classes you want to play. In our survey on MeinMMO, you actively participated and showed that especially two classes are particularly popular.
These are the winners and losers of the survey
How the survey went: We evaluated the survey on April 7, 2021, at 12:06 PM. By that time, 2,527 people participated in the survey and each of them could cast one vote. We asked: “Which class do you play in Season 23 of Diablo 3?” and provided the 7 classes from Diablo 3 as each one answer option.
The results: Based on the votes cast, it is clear that especially the Wizard and the Barbarian are popular among you.
- Wizard with 643 votes (approximately 25 %)
- Barbarian with 622 votes (approximately 25 %)
- Demon Hunter with 356 votes (approximately 14 %)
- Necromancer with 327 votes (approximately 13 %)
- Crusader with 275 votes (approximately 11 %)
- Monk with 159 votes (approximately 6 %)
- Witch Doctor with 145 votes (approximately 6 %)
What stands out: The Wizard received several changes to his Firebird set in recent weeks. Buffs, nerfs, and then buffs again. Even on the test servers, it turned out that the Firebird set combined with the Mirrors offers a lot of potential. Some of you seem to have thought so too and therefore chose the Wizard in Season 23.
Moreover, the Wizard is represented twice in the Tier list of Season 23 in Diablo 3 in the highest S-Tier.
In second place in our survey is the Barbarian. While it does not play in the S-Tier of the Tier list, it has a potent starter set that competes in the A-Tier.
But other players relied more on fate. As Sina wrote on MeinMMO: “Very cool. I haven’t tried a Witch Doctor yet, I want to try it out. Fate turned: Witch Doctor. It should be that way”
The losers – what is behind it?
Far behind in the survey were Monk and Witch Doctor with only 6 % of your votes each. Possible reasons for this could be that there have been few changes for these classes recently.
Witch Doctors were excited about the new Mundunugu set in Season 20. This skyrocketed the class’s popularity, as there was finally a new playstyle again. During the season, the Witch Doctor was played a lot. However, that gradually decreased.
In Season 22, the Witch Doctor and Monks were not incredibly popular either. The Demon Hunter was in demand due to its new GoD set.
It often shows with the favorite classes of the season that the builds and classes that experienced changes are the ones that are trending.
