What’s happening in Diablo 3? On Friday, July 23, Season 24 will start in Diablo 3. Accompanying it is Patch 2.7.1 with balance changes and the new seasonal theme featuring ethereal items. So, the big question in the community is: Which of the seven classes should I play in the new season?

What you need to know for the class choice in Season 24
The starter sets: Players often choose their starting class based on which starter sets are available. By completing the seasonal journey, you receive a full set “for free” and do not have to farm it painstakingly. In Season 24, the starter sets are distributed as follows (via diablo3.com):
- Monk – Uliana’s Spirit
- Demon Hunter – Natalya’s Vengeance
- Crusader – Seeker of the Light
- Wizard – Vyr’s Amazing Arcana
- Barbarian – Call of the Immortal King
- Witch Doctor – Spirit of Arachyr
- Necromancer – Trag’Oul’s Avatar
Balance changes: For the Monk, the mechanic of the Mystic Allies has been changed. The Earth Ally and the Fire Ally now deal significantly more damage. Additionally, adjustments have been made to Inna’s Mantra, Aegis of Courage, and the Mask of the Burning Carnival. You can see the balance changes of Patch 2.7.1 in Diablo 3 here.
