What’s new? The official date for the end of Season 24 in Diablo 3 has been confirmed.
On December 5 at 5:00 PM it ends. December 5 is a Sunday. The date was confirmed by Community Manager FilthieRich in the Blizzard forums:
Season 24 started in July and lasts almost four months. Slightly longer than an average season, which runs for about three months.

What happens in Season 25? Start and content
When does Season 25 start? A precise start date is still unknown. Typically, there are about one to two weeks between the end and start of a season in Diablo 3. Possible dates could be:
- Friday, December 10, 2021
- Friday, December 17, 2021
From the past, we know that seasons in D3 usually start on a Friday and end on a Sunday.
What’s included? In recent weeks, Season 25 of Diablo 3 has been extensively played on the test servers. The new season theme introduces soul stones that can make you mean and powerful. On the PTR, players were able to test the stones and socket them into head and weapon.
There are also balance changes for demon hunters, necromancers, witch doctors, and wizards. The exact numbers are still unclear, but you can find a first insight into the season theme of Season 25 and the patch notes for 2.7.2 in Diablo 3 with us.
Typically, detailed patch notes are released when Blizzard announces the new season with a specific date. Until then, final feedback from testers will be implemented, and the finishing touches on the new patch will be made.
This is probably also urgently needed, as the first feedback on the new changes sounded like they were really op. Players stated: The season theme of Season 25 is even much stronger than Season 24. It is clear that Blizzard will adjust the numbers of the stones again. How strong they will come to the live servers is still uncertain.
