Diablo 3 has new sets for the Crusader and Monk. Both sets have been tested by many players already. One of the most famous Twitch streamers of Diablo 3 finds them very good.
What are these sets? With the huge update just before Season 19, two new sets came to Diablo 3:
- Aegis of Valor for Crusaders
- Patterns of Justice for Monks
Both sets consist of six pieces and have corresponding bonuses for 2, 4, and 6 equipped pieces. They will be important for some players for the upcoming Season 19, starting on November 22.
Who tested the sets? The Twitch streamer Bluddshed has taken a closer look at both sets. Bluddshed is one of the most well-known Diablo 3 streamers on Twitch and was even the largest in the section last year.

New Sets in Diablo 3 – really strong
The Crusader set is that good: According to Bluddshed, the new Crusader set could instantly enter the “S-Tier” in the meta, thus belonging to the strongest sets. The new set significantly boosts the damage of:
- Heavenly Punch
- and Heavenly Fury
Additionally, it offers strong defensive values and plays well in builds that focus on buffs, resistance, and killing large groups of mobs. With repeated use of Heavenly Punch, Heavenly Fury becomes increasingly stronger.
A particular importance in a build is given to the “Pig Killer”, a weapon with a lot of stats that squeaks when you attack with it.
In his “Push Build”, Bluddshed demonstrates how he easily masters a large Nephalem rift of level 100:
The Monk set is that good: Bluddshed does not find Patterns of Justice quite as strong as Aegis of Valor, but admits that it can be a lot of fun. For him, it will be one of the sets he mainly plays in hardcore mode. The set builds on:
- Howling Wind
- and Tempest Rush
The builds that can be created with this set primarily focus on speed and crowd control. Monks whirl through enemies with Tempest Rush, pulling them in and finishing them off with stuns and increased damage.
Bluddshed shows in his video how he masters a large Nephalem portal of level 75 with his build. He also presented an alternative to his build that can become even stronger:
Fans are disappointed
This is how other players see it: Although the videos are well received and rated quite well, some fans find the showcased builds and sets boring.
So instead of creating a Heavenly Punch build, which is what this set looks like, they’re making another shotgun build?!

I am so disappointed that this has turned into a “Holy Shotgun”[-build] like Akkhan’s from back then.

This looks so boring. Hold the right mouse button. Complexity is non-existent.

Since the first tests, the sets have even been revised, even though only a single person is taking care of the balance. Whether the two will be adjusted again before the start of Season 19 in Diablo 3 remains to be seen.
