In Season 25 of Diablo 3, the Soul Shards play an important role. With a trick, you can now easily and quickly farm many of them. We will show you here how it works.
What is it about? The Soul Shards are the main seasonal theme of Season 25 in Diablo 3. You can socket them into helmets or weapons. With the resource “Embers of the Hellforger”, you can upgrade each shard three times, unleashing their true powers. However, luck also plays a significant role in how the shards are rolled. So it’s important to farm many shards to get the strongest combination.
Diablo expert Raxxanterax shared a guide with the community that makes farming the shards really easy. This uses the current “Darkness in Tristram” event.
Farm Infinite Soul Shards in “Darkness in Tristram”
Why does this work? The basis of the trick is the “Darkness in Tristram” event, which brings you optical and gameplay nostalgia. In Act 1, you will find a portal that takes you back to the “old” Diablo. With old graphics and controls (optional), as well as old bosses. You will find them all in a multi-level dungeon.
The bosses inside reliably drop the shards, and if you follow a specific path, you’ll quickly have many shards together.
The event runs until February 1, 2022. So you still have plenty of time to use the trick and make farming easier. We are embedding the video from Raxxanterax here and showing you the written explanation below.
This is what you need to do:
- Start a seasonal game, preferably on Torment 16 (Below that, high drops are not guaranteed)
- Choose a strong character that does well on Torment 16
- Start Act 1 and teleport to the waypoint “The Ancient Ruins”
- Run down and enter the portal to “Tristram”
- Once there, run northeast to the entrance of the “Labyrinth” dungeon
- Your targets are the Butcher on level 2 and Leoric on level 3
- The Butcher always hides in a room on level 2 that has two door entrances
- Find this room and kill the Butcher, he should drop all 7 Soul Shards for you – In the next picture, we will show you the room and the loot
- After you kill the Butcher, find the entrance to level 3
- Enter level 3 and run northwest, where you should find the entrance to Leoric
- Kill the Skeleton King – Now you should be rewarded again with all seven Soul Shards
What’s next? Now you can teleport to the city and recycle the shards you don’t need at the blacksmith. This will provide you with gems.
After that, you can leave the game and start again on T16, starting the run from the beginning. This way, you earn about 14 Soul Shards in less than 5 minutes.
You can repeat this method as many times as you like to earn your gems and Soul Shards.
