Diablo 3 Necromancer: Gameplay and Skills of the Necromancer

A huge scythe and a blood golem? The skills of the Necromancer in Diablo 3 have now been showcased with videos. 

Since the announcement of the Necromancer at BlizzCon in November 2016, a lot of time has passed while fans waited for more information about this class. Finally, we can introduce you to the skills of the Necromancer in detail. We attended a presentation by Blizzard in Munich and brought you information about the Necromancer in Diablo 3.

Now there are videos showing various abilities and additionally a detailed gameplay video showcasing the Necro in adventure mode. Get ready for lots of blood and huge scythes!

The Necromancer in Diablo 3

The Necromancer will be the new hero in Diablo 3, which you can obtain with the “Rise of the Necromancer” pack. Inspired by the Diablo 2 hero, he has been adapted to the many possibilities of Diablo 3. As a master of the dark arts, you draw your magic directly from the power of death and command powerful armies of undead warriors.

Necromancer – New Skills:

For Necromancers, there are many special items such as legendaries and set items.

• Grim Scythe: Swing a huge scythe in a wide arc, dealing damage and restoring Essence – Swings a huge scythe in a wide radius around you, dealing damage and restoring Essence.

• Blood Nova: Unleash a powerful nova dealing massive damage to surrounding enemies – Creates a strong nova that deals massive damage to enemies in your vicinity.

• Devour: Consume corpses to instantly restore Essence to power your other skills – Consumes corpses and instantly restores Essence to enhance other skills.

• Golem: Summon a powerful ally like the mighty Blood Golem, which can drain the blood from your enemies, dealing damage and restoring your health. Summons a strong ally like the mighty Blood Golem, who can drain blood from foes, dealing damage and restoring your life.

• Blood Rush: Shed your mortal flesh and pass through solid objects to swiftly reach a new location. Shed your mortal body and move through solid objects to quickly change your location.
• Leech: Curse enemies so that attacking them transfers their life energy to you and your allies. Curse enemies, transferring their life points to you and your allies.

The developers have already commented on the abilities in a Q&A session. There they explained why resurrecting is one of the biggest challenges for the Necro.

Rise of the Necromancer Pack – The Contents

The Necromancer is set to arrive with a paid DLC pack for Diablo 3. The “Rise of the Necromancer” pack includes the following contents:

• the Necromancer
• an in-game pet
• cosmetic wings
• two character slots
• two loot chest slots
• one portrait frame
• one banner
• one banner sigil
• one flag

Price and release date of the Necromancer and the pack in Diablo 3 are still unknown.
