You can test the Necromancer for free for one week in Diablo 3. Compete with other players in the Challenge Rift.
For a few days now, you can play the Necromancer in Diablo 3 if you have purchased the “Return of the Necromancer” DLC. If the price of €15 is too high for you and you do not want to buy the package without testing the class first, you can now try the Necro for a limited time.
In the new Challenge Rift of Diablo 3, the Necromancer is available to you with a specific build.
Try the Necromancer for free
The Challenge Portal this week offers you the Necromancer with a special pet build. The special thing about it is that every player who owns Diablo 3 can participate. Even if you have not purchased the Necro DLC, you have the opportunity to try this class for free until next Tuesday.
However, in this “test,” you only have a specific build with fixed equipment available. You cannot try other builds and playstyles in this free trial program.
For a first glimpse of the new class in Diablo 3, the Challenge Portal might be sufficient.
In the Challenge Portals (Challenge Rifts), the Diablo 3 team sets a special task every week that is active for 7 days. The skills and equipment of a player who has completed a Greater Nephalem Rift are copied.
You then compete under the same conditions with the same gear in this rift and must beat the time. How the Challenge Rifts in Diablo 3 work is shown here.
You can find the Challenge Rifts in the main menu of Diablo 3. Click on the left side under “Start Game” on “Settings.” In addition to the campaign and adventure mode, you will also find a tab called Challenge Portals. Click on that and then select “Start Game” to try the Challenge Rift with the Necro.
