The leaderboards in Season 20 of Diablo 3 currently show a clear winner and a loser who has been struggling in the rankings for months.
What is it about? Season 20 of Diablo 3 started about a month ago, on March 13. Before the season started, there were a few changes to the game balance, so new sets for Witch Doctor, Barbarian, and Wizard made their way into the dungeons.
One class has benefited greatly and confidently leads the leaderboards. We look at the current state of the Season 20 leaderboards in April.
Ranks 1 to 7 of the leaderboard in Diablo 3
Here is the current situation: After nearly 4 weeks of gameplay, the Witch Doctor has earned a lead and bravely holds on to it. Far ahead of the Wizard and even further away from the Demon Hunter, who is at the bottom of the leaderboard.
These leaderboard data are from April 11, 2020, at 4:45 PM. The placements of the seasonal Greater Nephalem Rifts in Softcore are counted. Behind the placements we link you to the player profiles of those who have set the best times.

What stands out? Just shortly after the start, it became clear that the Witch Doctor is particularly popular in this season and is reaching the higher tiers of the Greater Nephalem Rifts. The once so bad class is now the best in Diablo 3. Crusaders can also count themselves among the winners. In the midfield you find Barbarian, Necromancer, and Monk. Far behind, currently more in the realm of “losers”, you meet Wizards and even further behind the Demon Hunters.
After Crusaders and Monks have already received their new sets along with the Barbarian, Wizard, and Witch Doctor, Demon Hunters and Necromancers are next up.
So for fans of the Demon Hunter, there is hope that their favorite class will soon climb back up and no longer be represented in the tier list by the same old builds like Multishot. By the end of Season 19, DH players ranked last in the leaderboard. For months, the class has not looked very good competitively.
