Blizzard officially confirmed the launch date of Season 25 in Diablo 3. This time, you can expect a diabolical portrait frame and the cute-creepy pet “The Dark Prince”, which has already been embraced by the community as free-to-play gifts.
When does Season 25 start? The launch date for Season 25 in Diablo is Friday, December 10. As you may know from previous seasons, the seasonal servers will open for you at 5:00 PM German time. From then on, you can create a new seasonal character and start from scratch.
The end date of Season 24 is December 5.

Soul Shards as the seasonal theme for Season 25
What is the theme? In Season 25, you can expect the soul shards of the seven evils. They are divided into three Greater Evil shards and four Lesser Evil shards. The shards drop everywhere in Sanctuary – the drop chance is higher at bosses.
You socket them like gems, but only in helmets or weapons.
- You can socket the three Greater Evil shards into helmets
- You can socket the four Lesser Evil shards into weapons
The special thing about the stones is that they all have a base property. In addition, there are three additional properties that you must unlock first. The unlocking occurs through the new, season-exclusive resource “Sparks of the Hellforger”. Use these sparks on a soul shard to unlock an additional ability.

Cosmetic Rewards in S25
The old rewards: Since Season 17, Diablo 3 has brought old and new cosmetic rewards to every new season. The “old” ones were already available in previous seasons. Those who didn’t play at that time get another chance to earn them now. In Season 25, there are rewards from S13 that you will recognize.
Head and shoulder protection as well as portrait frames from the exclusive set of the Conqueror and the pet “Blaine’s Bear” will be available for you.
The new rewards: If you complete the seasonal journey of Season 25, you can also look forward to new rewards. The developers of Diablo 3 stick to their motto and reward you with a new portrait frame and a pet upon completion. And the design is very well received in the community.

Starter Sets for Season 25 – Haedrig’s Gift
These sets are gifted: In every season of Diablo 3, you can earn a complete class set and receive it as a gift. You only need to complete stages two, three, and four of the seasonal journey. For this, you will receive a few parts of a specific set each time. Depending on which class you open these completion gifts with, you will receive a different set from it. Earn your stash tabs
How to do it? In Seasons of Diablo 3, you can earn up to five additional stash tabs. If you haven’t got them all yet, you can do that in Season 25 by completing the Conqueror stage. The tasks involved are:
- Complete a Nephalem Rift on Torment XIII in under 5 minutes.
- Complete a Greater Nephalem Rift of level 60 in solo play.
- Kill Greed on Torment XIII.
- Kill Cydaea on Torment XIII in under 15 seconds.
- Reforge a legendary or set item.
- Upgrade an ancient item with a level 50 or higher legendary gem.
- Upgrade three legendary gems to level 55.
- Complete two achievements.
The Achievements in Season 25
What does it bring? To unlock the pet and other rewards of the seasonal journey, you need to complete achievements. These change from season to season. In S25, there are the following achievements (Normal Mode / Hardcore Mode):
- Sprinter / Speed Demon
- Complete Acts 1 to 5 at maximum level within an hour
- Simply Divine / Heart of a Lion
- Complete a Greater Nephalem Rift of level 75 solo
- Cursed and Sewn / Who would have thought?
- Kill 350 or more monsters at an event of a cursed chest at level 70 and at least Torment 10
- Otherwise it would be too easy / Superhuman
- Complete a Greater Nephalem Rift of level 45 solo without wearing a set item
- Master of All Classes / Play, Set and Win
- Master eight of the selected set dungeons
