In every season of Diablo 3, there are changes that affect the playstyles of the classes. In any case, they mostly change if you want to play at the top level and may even try to climb the ladder. To succeed, you need to adapt to the respective season or the current meta to play your class optimally.
Strong Solo Builds for Greater Rifts in Diablo 3 Patch 2.4.1
The well-known streamer and Diablo 3 player Quin69 has once again taken a close look at the various builds this season and has discussed them with part of the Diablo 3 community in forums and his streams. Since these builds can be found in the rankings of the various classes, you should try these solo builds if you want to climb the ranks or simply want to complete Greater Rifts at a high difficulty.
Wizard: Vyr’s Set with the Archon Ability
With this talent build, you may not always have the most fun, but you have a good chance of completing very high Greater Rifts. Perhaps you can’t complete a level 75 Greater Rift, but you can complete a level 100 Greater Rift with the same gear and talents – it always depends on the rift. Because the Archon ability is strong for the wizard in this patch, you can succeed with this set. Essentially, the gameplay strategy with this build is very easy to understand:
- When Archon is on cooldown: Stack your Chantodos set & delay the cooldown of Archon using your Obsidian Ring of the Zodiac. For the 20th stack of your Chantodos set, use the Black Hole and then immediately follow it with your Archon ability.

- Try to keep your buffs active constantly.

Demon Hunter: Fan of Knives Build – now even stronger than last season
With this Fan of Knives build, your heart will probably skip a beat at times, because it relies on fighting with very low health. You aim to have particularly low health with this build, because below a certain number of hit points, you have a critical hit chance of 100%.
- Try to keep your buffs active constantly.
- With your ability Barrage, you move quickly across the map and can dodge enemies and healing orbs.
- If your ring (in the cube) Convention of Elements is on Lightning damage and Lord Greenstone’s Fan has many stacks, you trigger the Fan of Knives. This deals a huge amount of damage, so gather many enemies together first.
Witch Doctor: Helltooth Build with Gargantuan Companion
It’s been a while, but now you can play the Helltooth Witch Doctor again with a Pet Build and be really successful. It is based on the Gargantuan in combination with the Ring of the Short Man . This build for the Witch Doctor is very relaxed to play and can still compete with the top ranks of the leaderboard. Here’s what you should pay attention to:
- Keep your buffs active – especially the 6-piece set bonus is important with this set.
- Resummon your companions if they get stuck – sometimes they may hang or disappear.
Barbarian: The Furious Charge with Raekor’s Set
Solo Rifts should not be a problem with this charge build. The cool thing? You charge at enemies and throw boulders at them – everything you expect from a Barbarian! Because you will often have problems with toughness with this build, diamonds should be socketed in the various gem slots. The playstyle of this build is quickly explained:
- Keep your War Cry, Battle Rage, Wrath of the Berserker, and Call of the Ancients active at all times.
- Use the spear of the ancients to trigger the resource expenditure effect of your Focus ring.
- Group as many enemies as closely together as possible and then attack them with your Furious Charge. This triggers the resource generation effect of your Focus ring.
Crusader: Charging Through Torment 10
For the Crusader, it’s particularly about thorns damage. There’s also a speedfarm build for Crusaders, but the one presented here has less to do with randomness and more with the timing of the Convention of Elements ring. If you like to use your abilities and attacks precisely, this is the right build for you! It can be used for solo play as well as in groups for rifts. There’s not much to explain about the playstyle, because you actually ride through normal enemies with your horse and kill them. Only against elite enemies should you use Bombardment to finish them off quickly. Through your weapon In-Geom, you can keep your buffs active all the time.
