Diablo 3: Patch 2.7.3 – Patch Notes in English
Here we show you the official patch notes for patch 2.7.3 (via Diablo3.com). The update is expected to be released on April 12. You can only use the seasonal content once Season 26 starts on April 15 at 5:00 PM.
Seasonal Theme Echoing Nightmare
In Season 26, you can get an “Ethereal Cry” as loot from defeated portal guardians. With this, you can gain access to the Echoing Nightmare. You need to convert the Ethereal Cry in Kanai’s Cube – similar to creating Goblin portals.
Players in a group will then receive a prompt that they need to accept if they want to participate.
– Only one player needs to convert an Ethereal Cry to open an Echoing Nightmare in a multiplayer game.
– As with a boss fight, all players in a multiplayer game must first accept a prompt to enter.
– Within an Echoing Nightmare, the difficulty increases with progress in the encounter. Players can advance faster if they quickly eliminate monsters.
– Players receive the following rewards upon completing the Echoing Nightmare: XP, legendary items, blood shards, gems, and a new legendary gem, Whisper of Penitence.
– Whisper of Penitence is a legendary gem that can only be used to improve ancient legendary items. Its rank when dropped is based on the player’s performance in the Echoing Nightmare.
– Rare monsters now appear in an Echoing Nightmare.
– Meteors now fall from the sky.
– Hellish devices now appear that summon waves of Exploding Madmen.
– Portal guardians now appear.
– The frequency at which monsters appear has been increased.
– The shadow clone explosion has been changed to make the area of effect more pronounced.
– The leave timer has been increased to 60 seconds.
– The possible rank for a Whisper of Penitence to drop has been increased to 125 depending on the completed level.
– Monsters in an Echoing Nightmare can no longer be frozen, stunned, immobilized, or knocked back.
– A bug has been fixed that caused connection shrines to deal less damage than intended.
Updates after PTR feedback:
– Monsters in the Echoing Nightmare no longer drop gold, items, or healing globes.
– The damage from Exploding Madmen and meteors is now deadlier.
– The damage from meteors and Fallen Madmen is now physical.
– The difficulty from level 100 has been adjusted.
– The shield pylon has been replaced with a haste pylon.
– The XP gained in the Echoing Nightmare has been adjusted to match the rewards for Greater Nephalem Rifts.
– The closing timer for the Echoing Nightmare has been reduced to 30 seconds.
– Opening the Echoing Nightmare in games below level 70 has been prevented.
– The damage from Exploding Madmen and meteors is now physical.
– The drop rate of Ethereal Cries from portal guardians of Greater Nephalem Rifts has been adjusted.

The Law of Arreat: ‘Weapon Throw’ and ‘Spear of the Ancients’ deal 150–200 % more damage. ‘Weapon Throw’ generates up to 50 additional Fury based on the distance of the hit enemy. The generated Fury can exceed the maximum limit of 200 Fury.
‘Spear of the Ancients’ refunds up to 50 Fury based on the distance of the hit enemy and resets the maximum Fury to its normal value.
