In Diablo 3 Season 26 has started with buffs and nerfs. We show you the patch notes for patch 2.7.3.
What’s new? Blizzard has now officially confirmed when Season 26 will start for you. There are also the final patch notes for patch 2.7.3, which outline all the changes of the new chapter for you.
When does Season 26 begin? On April 15 at 5:00 PM CEST, Season 26 begins. Patch 2.7.3, however, is expected to be released on April 12. That is just a few days after the end of Season 25.
Season 26 changes endgame – Seasonal theme, Haedrig’s Gift and changes
The seasonal theme: Season 26 comes with the seasonal theme “the Echoing Nightmare” and for the first time introduces a new activity as a theme of a season. You can imagine the Echoing Nightmare as an event where waves of enemies spawn repeatedly in a confined space. As you progress, the enemies become stronger.
The challenge is to survive as long as possible. The feature was there in 2015 but is supposed to be better now.
Cosmetic rewards: As you know from past seasons in Diablo 3, there are some old cosmetic rewards in Season 26 for players who couldn’t earn them during the actual season. There are also new cosmetic rewards. Both can be earned.
The old items originated from season 14. These are:
- The boots and pants of the exclusive Conqueror set
- A series of portrait frames
- A flag
For completing Season 26, you will receive the portrait frame “Rakkis’ Remembrance” and the companion ‘Nibble Demon’.
Haedrig’s Gift: If you complete chapters 2, 3, and 4 in the Season Journey, you will receive Haedrig’s Gifts, which contain parts of class sets. After completing chapter 4, you will have a complete class set if you open all gifts with the same character.

Achievements in Season 26: In every season, there are a few selected achievements that you can complete. A few of them are needed to successfully complete the Season Journey. In S26, these are:
- Greed (Gold Greed HC)
- Speed Demon (Streamlined HC)
- Mineral Collection (I Gotta Catch ‘Em All HC)
- Simply Divine (Heart of a Lion HC)
- Portal Mania (Dynasty HC)
