What’s happening in Diablo 3? On April 15, Season 26 started in Diablo 3. The new season runs with Patch 2.7.3, which brings the “Echoing Nightmare” as the seasonal theme. Anyone starting with Season 26 begins with their character at “zero” and tries to reach level 70 as quickly as possible.
In this Tier List, we show you which classes in S26 have the greatest potential in Greater Nephalem Rifts.
What makes Season 26 special? The new seasonal theme makes S26 unique. A feature that was similar in the game back in 2015 is now back in polished form. The theme is called “Echoing Nightmare” and introduces a mode where you must defeat waves of enemies that get stronger over time. Here’s how Echoing Nightmare works in Season 26.
Who creates the Tier List? We base it on the Tier List from maxroll.gg. The website develops this Tier List through extensive testing and mathematics. It’s backed by the team around Rob, Wudijo, Northwar, Facefoot, Raxxanterax, and Chewignom.
We embed the Tier List here in the article as a graphic. Here and on the following pages of the article, we present you with the top 3 builds for each class along with a link to the build (in German). This way, you can easily replicate the builds and slice through Season 26.
What do the ratings “S” to “F” mean? With the ratings, we show which builds have the greatest potential. A build in the S-tier has the most potential for the highest Greater Rifts. Builds in the F-tier have less potential, but are still quite strong.
So, use the Tier List as a rough guide for the strongest builds. In Diablo 3, it still holds true: The more time you invest in the game and farm many Paragon levels, the more you will unlock the true potential of the builds.

The 3 Best Builds of the Barbarian in Season 26
- A-Tier: Whirlwind (via maxroll.gg) – The WW build of the Barbarian does not make it into the S-tier even in Season 26. Still, the set plays well and very simply. While performing Whirlwind, you rush through the rifts and also apply “Rend” on enemies (thanks to the Pride of the Ancients). It’s a set that’s easy to learn but hard to master. The “Wrath of the Wastes” set is used which greatly increases the damage of Whirlwind and Rend.
- A-Tier: LoD Hammer (via maxroll.gg) – With this set, you play quite differently than a WW-Barb. The advantages of the build are that you can absorb a lot, attack quickly, and deal a lot of damage. However, you only have a small AOE radius and the playstyle is not very varied. The high crits are a lot of fun, though. You do not wear a green set here since this is a LoD build.
- A-Tier: Raekor Throw with Starter Set (via maxroll.gg) – For Season 26, the Raekor set of the Barbarian has been revised a bit (here are the patch notes for 2.7.3). You receive the set as a starter set, so you get into the build quickly. It’s mobile and easy to understand. Quite good if you are a newcomer to the game or just starting with the set. However, you don’t really withstand much with the build and must position yourself well and time your skills.
