In the Tier List for Season 25 in Diablo 3 we show you the best classes, builds, and items. Balance changes from Patch 2.7.2 are also taken into account.
What’s going on in Diablo 3? Today, on December 10th, Season 25 starts in Diablo 3. The new season comes with Patch 2.7.2, which introduces Soul Shards into the game. Anyone starting with Season 25 begins at “zero” with their character and then tries to get to level 70 quickly.
In this Tier List, we want to show you which classes and builds have the greatest potential in S25 and which class is the best.
What makes Season 25 special? The big highlight in Season 25 is the Soul Shards. You receive them due to the new season theme and can carry up to two Shards per build at the same time. Each Soul Shard can be upgraded three times. This influences the builds in Season 25, as certain abilities synergize very well with the new “jewels”.
Who creates the Tier List? As a basis, we take the Tier List from maxroll.gg. The website develops this Tier List through extensive testing and mathematics. It is backed by the team around Rob, Wudijo, Northwar, Facefoot, Raxxanterax, and Chewignom. Major Diablo streamers now use the website maxroll.gg to share their builds. It has even been available in German since April 1st.
We embed the Tier List here in the article as a graphic. Here and on the following pages of the article, we present the top 3 builds for each class along with a link to the build (in German). This way, you can easily recreate the builds and slice through Season 25.
What do the rankings “S” to “F” mean? The strongest builds of Season 25 can be found in the S-Tier. They have the highest potential in this season. The tier rankings below have less potential, but are by no means “bad”.
So use this Tier List as a rough guide. The actual potential of a build is determined by how many Paragon levels you farm with your character. With enough time investment, every class and most builds can be strong.
Additionally, you should consider that each of the builds listed, even those in the F-Tier, is capable of cracking Greater Nephalem Rifts of level 150. You need this milestone to unlock ancient items. They are among the strongest items in Diablo 3.

The 3 best builds of the Barbarian in Season 25
- A-Tier: Whirlwind (via maxroll.gg) – The WW build of the Barbarian did not make it to S-Tier in Season 25. Nevertheless, the set still plays well and very easily. When executing Whirlwind, you rush through the portals and also inflict “Rend” on enemies (thanks to Moira’s Pride). It is a set that is easy to learn but hard to master.
- A-Tier: LoD Hammer (via maxroll.gg) – With this set, you play very differently than a WW Barb. The advantages of the build are that you can absorb a lot of damage, attack quickly, and deal a lot of damage. However, you only have a small AOE radius, and the playstyle is not particularly varied.
- B-Tier: Earthquake with Starter Set (via maxroll.gg) – The “Might of the Earth” set is the starter set for Barbarians in Season 25. It can be easily combined with an earthquake build that brings a lot of fun. You hop from monster mass to monster mass and blast everything away with your AOE damage. A fun build that everyone should try who likes Barbarians in Diablo 3.
