The end of Season 20 in Diablo 3 is just a few days away. Blizzard has now officially confirmed the date. According to players, there are still issues with the new Season 21.
When does Season 20 end? In the official Blizzard forums, the Community Manager for Diablo 3, PezRadar, spoke up.
He confirmed the end of Season 20 for Sunday, June 21, 2020, at 5:00 PM German time. (Via Blizzard forums)
You have less than two weeks from today to achieve your Season goals, if you haven’t done so already.
Tips on how to complete Season 20 now
What can you unlock? If you successfully complete the Season journey of S20, you will unlock portrait frames and a cool bat pet. However, you will need to put in some effort as this companion is not given for free.
While some of the tasks are self-explanatory, there is a specific task that requires help. For the “Flawless Victory” task, you need to complete three achievements.
One of the easier achievements is to reach a Greater Nephalem Rift Level 75 in solo play. With the builds from the Tier list for Season 20 in Diablo 3, this is no problem and can be done quickly by you.
- For the second achievement, we recommend Cursed and Sewn Shut
- For the third achievement, it’s best to grab the Boss Mode
When does Season 21 start in Diablo 3?
What we know: There is usually a one to two-week gap between the end of a past season and the start of a new season. The last seasons (16, 17, 18, 19, and 20) all started on a Friday.
So, it can be assumed that Season 21 will also start on a Friday. We anticipate another 1 to 2 weeks break after the end of Season 20. Possible start dates would speculatively be:
- Friday, June 26
- Friday, July 3
If there are issues, this start could be delayed even further. Therefore, consider these dates as possibilities, not as fixed start dates.
What’s new in Season 21? We already know from the tests on the PTR that there will be two new sets coming to the servers with Patch 2.6.9. These are the new sets for Demon Hunters and Necromancers.
Another big topic in the community is the buff in the new season. Testers explain that the season theme in Season 21 for solo players is too strong and otherwise rather disappointing. So, it is quite possible that Blizzard will tweak things before the start of the new phase and make further adjustments. However, this is not guaranteed.
