What’s new in Season 16: In addition to the new rewards of the season journey, a visit to Diablo 3 is worthwhile because Blizzard has shaken up the meta considerably with a balance patch. In fact, Blizzard has managed to make almost all classes equally strong.

Where does the tier list presented here come from? Content creator and Diablo 3 expert Rhykker has long been regarded as an authority on Blizzard’s hack’n slash. His tier lists are the result of data analysis from the leaderboards and the test servers, where the “new world” can already be played.
The “tiers” are gradations of the best available classes and their setups. A combination that makes it into tier “S” is regarded as one of the best in the game, with the potential to reach the highest levels of Greater Rifts.
Builds that only reach tier “F” also achieve high Nephalem portal levels, but these are about 18 below those builds from tier “S”.
Important: Whether a build is in tier S or F, all presented builds can easily complete Greater Rifts beyond the magical threshold of 70, allowing you to farm ancient items that provide the greatest bonuses.

The 3 best builds of the Witch Doctor in Season 16
The Witch Doctor was long considered one of the worst classes in Diablo 3. With Season 3, everything has changed. Thanks to the balance patch, the best build of the Witch Doctor has climbed to 3rd place among the best builds overall.
Set reward of the season journey: Spirit of Arachyr
- Jade Witch Doctor (Tier S) – The Jade Witch Doctor was in tier C in the last season. With Season 16, this build has reached the podium and is now regarded as one of the best builds in Diablo 3.
- Arachyr Fire Bat (Tier B) – Compared to the last season, this setup has not made a significant leap and is considered the second-best setup of the Witch Doctor, but falls significantly behind number 1.
- LoN Spirit Barrage (Tier B) – This build focuses on the Legacy of Nightmare, purely the set bonus of just two rings. The rest of the equipment consists only of legendary items.
