No Patch for Season 14?
On the evening of June 3, your seasonal characters will be transformed into normal characters. It will only take a few days until the new season begins.
The fact that Season 14 starts on a Friday shows that there is no significant patch ahead. In the past, Blizzard launched new seasons of Diablo 3 with large patches earlier in the week to give developers enough time to fix potential issues by the weekend. Season 12, for example, started on a Thursday.
Why even have a new season when there is no patch?
On Reddit, players ask why Blizzard even performs a season reset when there are no changes in the game.
In response, players explain that the starts of new seasons are a lot of fun. Due to the season reset, every player has to start from scratch in a season. Season Transition – What do you keep?
At the end of Season 13, some items from the seasonal characters will be transferred to the non-seasonal characters:

- Blood shards
- Items
- Crafting progress
- Loot stash
- Achievements
- Kanais Cube
- Rewards like transmogifications
All of this will be available with the non-seasonal characters. Items like armor or weapons will be sent to you via in-game mail.
