Season 11 in Diablo 3 has started! To let you know which builds are trending, our overview provides you with the best Builds and best classes for Season 11. With a tier list.
A new season in Diablo means that everything is reset to zero. At the same time, you have the chance to secure a place in the upper ranks with your character, where only the best players can succeed.
Even though Season 11 is not affected by balance patches, new builds and strategies have emerged. As a result, the ranking of the strongest builds and classes in Diablo 3 regularly changes. For the current Season 11, we show you the strongest builds and classes here, with which you have the best chances in Greater Nephalem Rifts (English: Greater Rifts).

In particular, the Necromancer has a great influence on the new season and has catapulted himself directly to the top of the list with the Trag’ouls Corpse Lance Build. Since this build is very strong, the remaining tiers have been thoroughly shaken up to visually highlight the gap to the Necromancer.
What is the Tier List of Builds and Classes based on?
The tier list we present to you has been created by Diablo 3 expert Rhykker. It is based on data he analyzed from the NA, EU, Asia, PTR, season, and non-season leaderboards. Some builds and classes stood out as significantly stronger than others.
It is important to note that no combination of class and build in this tier list is “bad”.
Here it is about comparing which combination can complete higher Greater Nephalem Rifts. There is a difference of 15 Greater Rift levels between “Tier F” and “Tier S”. This does not mean that builds from the F-tier should not be played, but that they are the “worst of the best builds”.
All these combinations of skills and equipment (builds) can easily reach level 70 in the Greater Rift solo and thereby unlock the archetypal items that can significantly improve your equipment. To keep this list from becoming endlessly long, some builds that may fall just short of the F-tier are not listed.
Order:
- S-Tier: The best solo GR builds – Considered by many to be OP builds in Diablo 3
- A-Tier: Five GR levels behind S-Tier
- B-Tier: Seven GR levels behind S-Tier
- C-Tier: Ten GR levels behind S-Tier
- D-Tier: Twelve GR levels behind S-Tier
- F-Tier: 15 GR levels behind S-Tier
Note: You will often find the term “LoN” in the tier list. LoN stands for Legacy of Nightmare – This is the English name of the set bonus Legacy of Nightmares. This set bonus applies to the rings The Wailing Host and Litany of the Unhaunted. “As long as this is your only set bonus, every ancient item equipped increases your damage by 100% and reduces your damage taken by 4%.”
F-Tier Builds – Diablo 3 Season 11
Inna / Uliana Monk: The Uliana build in combination with pieces of the Inna set from the monk is still strong, but can no longer compete with the other sets of this class. If you only have the mix of Inna and Uliana set, you can play well with it, but you are better off with other sets like SunWuko. Here’s the Inna / Uliana build from D3 Planner.
LoN-Thorns Barbarian: The LoN builds are particularly hard to farm because you need the right ancient items with optimal stats. If this LoN build is not stronger than other builds where you don’t have to farm these optimal ancient items, it’s not worth the effort. While the mentioned build doesn’t deal significantly less damage, it is much harder to assemble and therefore landed in the F-Tier. Here’s the LoN-Thorns build on D3 Planner.

Invoker-Thorns Crusader: With this build, you come one step closer to the LoN-Thorns Crusader. The Invoker-Thorns build is not bad, but is overshadowed by the top builds. Compared to Season 10, this build has dropped one tier lower. Here’s the Invoker-Thorns build on D3 Planner.
Leapquake Barbarian: This build was ranked in Tier D in the last season. Unfortunately, it has dropped a level again for Season 11. It is among the strongest Barbarian builds, all of which are in the lower tiers (Sorry, dear Barbar friends). Here’s the Leapquake build from D3 Planner.
Jade Witch Doctor: Due to changes in monster density in Greater Rifts activated in an earlier patch, this build received an indirect buff. However, it still falls behind the Fire Bat build and even drops to Tier F in Season 11. Here’s the Jade build on D3 Planner.
Helltooth Gigantoid Witch Doctor: The Helltooth Gigantoid Doctor was once the strongest version of this class in earlier versions of the game. The increased monster density has allowed other builds to benefit significantly, which is why this one is only in the F-Tier (dropping from D-Tier in Season 11). Here’s the Helltooth Gigantoid build from D3 Planner.

Charge Barbarian: The Barbarian build that combines the Raekor and Immortal King set has long been one of the strongest. For Season 11, this build even drops to F-Tier. Here’s the Charge build on D3 Planner.
Inarius Necromancer: Three weeks ago, this build would have landed at least in A-Tier. Blizzard has since massively nerfed the proc rate of this build with the legendary gem Mirinae. Now the Inarius set ranks in F-Tier. Here’s the Inarius build of the Necromancer on D3 Planner.
D-Tier Builds – Diablo 3 Season 11
SunWuko Monk: This build is a weaker alternative to the LoN Monk that you can use to farm the items for the LoN LTK Monk. Parts of the equipment are used in both builds, shortening the time needed for farming. There are several play styles for the SunWuko set, such as the Wave of Light build with advantages for speedruns. The set is thus not “bad”, but is overshadowed by other sets when it comes to clearing Greater Rifts. Here’s the SunWuko build from D3 Planner.
Marauder Grenade Demon Hunter: The buff to the Marauder set before Season 10 made this build one of the strongest for the DH. At the start of Season 10, this build is downgraded to D-Tier. The Marauder Grenade build is detailed here on D3 Planner.

LoN-LTK Monk: A strong build for Monk fans, but it remains average and has even experienced a downgrade with Season 11. The reason is the LoN version, which allows for the farming of equipment only with a lot of time investment. Here’s the LTK build with LoN on D3 Planner.
Shadow Impale Demon Hunter: Compared to Season 10, this build has been corrected down by one tier. You can use this build in a group if you are deployed as DD as a Rift Guardian killer. Advantages include mobility and high toughness, allowing you to navigate through monster groups without dying like a glass cannon from every hit. The Shadow Impale build is shown here on D3 Planner.
Fire Bat Witch Doctor: With this build, you have two options with different advantages: The Helltooth variant gives you more toughness, and the Arachyr variant gives you more damage. You use Arachyr for group play (Your allies keep you alive). Here’s the Fire Bat build on D3 Planner once for the Helltooth- and the Arachyr variant.
C-Tier Builds in Diablo 3 Season 11
Roland’s Crusader: In Patch 2.5.0, the Roland set received a buff and thus a damage boost. Therefore, this build is better than the Invoker. With Season 11, this setup even rises one tier to C-Tier. But as already mentioned: The Crusader has significantly better builds that this cannot keep up with. Here’s Roland’s build with Sweep Attack on D3 Planner.
Whirlwind Barbarian: This is currently the strongest build of the Barbarian class. That it is in C-Tier does not necessarily speak well for the Barbarians. This class could certainly use more love from the developers. Nevertheless, the Whirlwind benefits significantly from the increased monster density. D3 Planner has the build from the Whirlwind Barbarian.
LoN-Daggers Demon Hunter: For a long time, this build was one of the best for the Demon Hunter. As already mentioned, it is difficult to farm your equipment for a LoN build. However, once you have the items in your inventory, you can unlock the full power. Here’s the LoN-Daggers build on D3 Planner.
LoN Bombardment Crusader: This thorns build was for some time the best Crusader build in Diablo 3. For Season 11, it drops to C-Tier. As a LoN build, it is again difficult to get the required gear until you can effectively use the combination. D3 Planner has build for you.

Thorns Pet Necromancer: The Necromancer ranks with two builds in Tier C. This build is played with the Trag’Ouls set and Land of the Dead. However, there is a significantly stronger variant with the Trag’Ouls set. The Thorns Pet build for the Necromancer can be found here.
Rathma Necromancer: The Rathma set for the Necromancer aims to be out and about with as many skeleton minions and mages as possible. The set has recently received a buff and improved significantly. You can find the Rathma build at D3 Planner.
B-Tier Builds in Diablo 3 Season 11
Inna’s EP Monk: The Inna set was buffed in Patch 2.5.0 and now deals 25% more damage than before. Because of this buff, the build was promoted from D-Tier to C-Tier. With Season 11, this build has even risen to B-Tier. The set is used as the basis for many good solo builds and needed for the role of support monk in the group. Here’s the Inna EP build on D3 Planner.

Unholy Essence with Grenade Demon Hunter: The grenade build with the UE set is the best build of the Demon Hunter. It has long been considered one of the best speed farm combinations for the Demon Hunter and has also become relevant for Greater Rifts with the addition of the grenades. Nothing has changed in the new season regarding that. The UE Grenade build is detailed here.
Firebird Archon Wizard: The wizard with the Firebird set has been at the top of the leaderboard for several patches now. You can quickly implement this build and complete the high Greater Rifts. You can find a variant of the Firebird build here on D3 Planner.
A-Tier Builds in Diablo 3 Season 11
Raiment Duo-Gen Monk: This setup is the best monk build in Diablo 3. The generator builds of the monk have been strong for some time, but the duo version is even stronger. It works a little better with the second spirit generator than the simple gen build and is thus a few GR levels ahead of the Inna Gen build. You can find the basic setup of the Raiment-Gen Monk here on D3 Planner.
Hammerdin Crusader: The “Hammerdin” is the best build for the Crusader class. With this equipment and skill setup, you have a high damage output that can get you into the top placements of the leaderboard. D3 Planner also offers you a good overview here.

LoN Spirit Barrage Witch Doctor: A new combination that has only developed in the last few months. This build is the best for the Witch Doctor and is excellent for clearing groups of large enemies. You can find details about this build at D3 Planner.
Lightning Archon Wizard: As an Archon wizard with lightning damage, you have combined the best wizard build with the second best solo build of Diablo 3 for Season 11. You can find details about this build at D3 Planner.
S-Tier Builds in Diablo 3 Season 11 – The best build for Greater Rifts
Corpse Lance Necromancer: The basis for this build is the Trag’Ouls set. In combination with the skill Alternate and Corpse Lance, the Necromancer represents the currently best solo build of Diablo 3. You can see how the skill setup looks in detail at D3 Planner.
