For Blizzard’s Hack’N’Slay Diablo 3, there is a new patch. This changes extremely little and players are making jokes.
There is a new update for Diablo III. The patch 2.6.1a can now be downloaded on PC and Mac systems. However, the patch notes are very brief. Some players are annoyed by this, as they have been waiting a long time for significant changes. Others are making the best of the situation and joking around.
Diablo III: 2.6.1a Patch Notes
There is practically no change for you in the gameplay of Diablo III. The game now supports a technology from Razer. Additionally, adjustments were made to the backend to improve game performance.
General Patch Notes
- Razer Chroma Link
- If you have peripherals on your PC that use this technology, they will be supported after the update.
- Backend Improvements
- The team made changes on the server side to ensure better game performance.
That was all the patch notes. Instead of bashing wildly now, players are pulling out memes and jokes to take the news with humor.
“… and they say the support for Diablo 3 is dead!”
In the comments on the new patch on Reddit, players are expressing themselves in a funny way. An ironic undertone cannot be overlooked in the following three comments:
- User Wicky- writes “and they say the support for this game is dead”
- Yoshi570 writes “I’m glad to see the strong support from Blizzard for Diablo 3”
- T1mpas says “New content hype!!!”
Others aren’t too concerned about what this patch does. User EverydayFunHotS writes “As long as there is a new pet / wings in every season, I’m happy.” Many other users agree.
Why the bittersweet reactions? For many months, part of the Diablo 3 community has been demanding more content. Players want to have more to do in Diablo 3 again. Some players are firmly convinced that Blizzard has not abandoned its Hack’n’Slay yet. Others say that Diablo III is in standby mode and is only being kept alive “somehow”.
Especially before a new season, players were hoping for a larger patch that might shake up the meta. The patch 2.6.1a certainly does not do that. It is unclear whether a larger update will come before season 14.
The community is in the dark: Players also do not really know how things will go with the Hack’N’Slay topic at Blizzard. Will Diablo 3 bloom again? Is the team already working on polishing Diablo 4? There is hope that Blizzard will soon provide new information regarding the future plans for Diablo.
