Those who wanted to enjoy a relaxing round of Diablo 3 on PS4 or Xbox One yesterday experienced a surprise in the form of an almost 2 GB update: the patch Diablo 3 1.22.
Some even had concerns that they would download malware when patch 1.22 appeared yesterday. But the update is real and brings some meaningful bug fixes.
According to the official patch notes, the following changes were made with update 1.22:
- Incorrect value representations in challenges have been fixed
- The ability to duplicate items has been removed
- Characters from the last season could not join multiplayer games at times, this has been fixed
So the patch had its purpose. But there are problems.
Diablo 3: Problems with item duplication persist even after 1.22
However, it can already be seen in the official Diablo 3 forum that duplicating non-seasonal items is still possible and has not been fixed.
Whether Blizzard will address this in a future update is unknown. Whether the duplication of items will really be fixed with the new season starting July 20, 2017, will only be revealed then.
