When and at what time does Season 17 start? Today, on May 17 at 5:00 PM is the kick-off for the new season in Diablo 3. However, only for players on PC.
Console players on PS4, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch will have to wait longer for the start of the new season. Because aside from PC, S17 only starts at 2:00 AM Saturday morning, May 18.

What’s new in Season 17? The new season brings a fresh breeze to Diablo again. Instead of just resetting the leaderboards, this time there’s new content in the form of features and new torment levels. One can say that Season 17 brings the biggest changes to Diablo 3 in a long time.

- the increase to torment 16
- new portals from treasure goblins
- new events when you use an ancient or primal ring in Kanai’s Cube
- A search function in the loot chest (first only on PC)
- Most bounties will now be displayed directly upon entering the bounty area
- Horadric caches can now drop Death’s Breath
- As a seasonal theme, all seasonal characters get the set bonus from Legacy of Nightmares
