You can level up particularly quickly with this strategy in Season 9 in Diablo 3.
At the beginning of a new season of Diablo III, you first need to level up a new character to the maximum level. Some players prefer a slower approach and play the story mode to gain experience. Other players want to reach the maximum level as quickly as possible and look for specific quests or areas that offer a lot of experience points in a short amount of time. In this guide, we want to show you a faster alternative to the usual leveling methods.
Diablo 3: Power-Leveling in the Darkness in Tristram Anniversary Dungeon
In past seasons of Diablo III, the Halls of Agony were often used to quickly gather experience points. In this dungeon – on level three, to be exact – the monster density is good for leveling. Additionally, there are skeleton enemies that you can kill quickly. This way, you can farm a lot of XP with these enemies and massacre bonuses. With this leveling method, you can reach level 10 in about 11 minutes. (Usually, you start the adventure with a boss bounty and then head to the Halls of Agony.)

The YouTuber Bluddshed presents a method where you can level up even faster than in the Halls of Agony. You will use the Anniversary Dungeon, which is only available in January. For Season 9, you can use this method. Besides many experience points, you will also receive strong equipment through Power-Leveling in the Darkness in Tristram Dungeon.
Start:
- You start the game with a new season character on the Master difficulty in adventure mode.
- First, go to your Templar, take his weapon, and equip it to your character.
- Then look for a boss bounty. The bounty from Zoltun Kull or Maghda is best suited because you don’t have to walk far to reach the bosses.
- After you have killed the boss, you will be around level 3 to level 4 – because you completed a boss bounty, an additional loot chest is waiting for you by the boss, which often contains helpful equipment for your character.
- Now teleport yourself using the map to the Darkness in Tristram event.
- Run directly to the portal and use it. Then run to the dungeon and enter it.
- Set the difficulty to Hard.
- In the dungeon, try to kill mob groups and leave out single enemies.
- Group enemies together to attack many enemies simultaneously with area damage.
- Stay close to enemies just before leveling up to deal damage with your Level-Up Explosion.
- Now fight your way through the various levels and continue to kill monster groups.
- On your way through the labyrinth, you have the chance to find the Dark Passage Dungeon. There is a guaranteed chest for you that rewards you with equipment.
- The Dark Passage is an optional objective that you can enter if it is on your way anyway. Specifically searching for it would take too much time.
- The fight against the Butcher brings a lot of experience and should therefore be undertaken.
- After the Butcher, you should be about level 8.
- You will now encounter more enemies with special names. You should kill them as they drop strong items.
- Continue to fight against enemy groups in the dungeon until you reach level 10.
- At level 10, teleport yourself to the city and check for rings and a amulet.
- Rings should have a bonus of +2 – 4 damage.
- The amulet should also have a bonus that grants + damage.
- To find these items, it’s worth visiting the vendors in the different towns. They offer various equipment pieces.
- At this point, you can either continue playing the dungeon and kill mob groups on the different levels, or you can start Nephalem rifts.
- Once you reach level 22, you can complete bounties to obtain the Cain Set.
- During the bounties, you should reach level 23, which is required for the Cain Set.
- It is best to do bounties that give you a bonus chest. This will increase your chances of obtaining the plans for the Cain Set.
- You can either continue playing the Darkness in Tristram event or level up in Nephalem rifts until you reach the maximum level.
