In Season 19 of Diablo 3, four-player teams continue to fight for the best times in GR 150. One group sets an insane time. The players made use of the strong angels of the new season buff.
This is the achievement: A four-player group around the streamer Raxxanterax completed a Greater Rift level 150 in just 5 minutes and 47 seconds. Level 150 is the highest difficulty level that can be achieved in Greater Nephalem Rifts in Diablo 3. Such a fast time is really impressive.
Normally, you need a lot of time for the final boss in these rifts, even if you play the best classes from Season 19. But the group took down the final boss in just a few moments. They succeeded because they brilliantly exploited their strategy with the season buff.

Why is it so fast? In the video, the group shows how they perfectly utilize the season buff from Season 19. At various milestones of a kill streak, certain assists appear on the battlefield to help the players. Only the 1,000 kill milestone is particularly wicked and turns against the groups.
At level 500, angels appear on the battlefield. These were even able to oneshot rift bosses on the test servers. Blizzard had to fix this bug in patch 2.6.7. But the angels are still really strong. You can see in the video how the group keeps their stacks just below 500 to reach the 500 limit when facing the rift boss. At around 5 minutes and 45 seconds, it is finally time.
The rift boss appears while the angels are active. It then takes only about 10 seconds for the usually so persistent boss to go down.
Typically, the rift boss poses a greater challenge without the season buff, because it has many hit points due to the high difficulty level that need to be whittled down first.
Angels in Diablo 3 remain strong despite nerf
This is the topic now: In the community, people are discussing the patch notes for patch 2.6.7. There, the developers explicitly mentioned the angels: “Angels can no longer kill portal guardians with just one attack.”
This statement from the developers is often quoted in connection with the YouTube video. Players cheekily comment, “Well, they didn’t lie. They needed 4 to 5 attacks.”
After the patch notes, players assumed that the angels were nerfed significantly. But as we can see, they are still incredibly strong.
This is what you learn from it: For four-player teams, it is a great advantage to have the angels active against the rift boss in Greater Nephalem Rifts. Solo players should rather focus on the geysers that already appear at 150 stacks. As a single player, it is easier to time this number of stacks.
