Since April 2, 2021, the current 23rd Season of Diablo 3 has been running. It is slowly coming to its end, and now the official Twitter account of the game has also announced the date when the current season will officially end.
When does Season 23 of Diablo 3 end? The end of Season 23 will occur on July 18, 2021. So you have about 2 weeks left to complete your seasonal journey if you are playing a seasonal character.
When does Season 24 start for Diablo 3?
Is there an official start date for Season 24 yet? While Blizzard has now announced when Season 23 ends, there is currently no official release date for Season 24.
Over time, a clear, recurring pattern has emerged regarding the start of seasons, which already allows us to make a prediction for the start date of Season 24.
The pattern: A season in Diablo 3 typically lasts about 3 months. The exact period remains dynamic, but with few exceptions, the vast majority of seasons have adhered to the 3 months. It is also known that there is roughly one to two weeks between the end of an old season and the start of a new one. New seasons generally start on Fridays.
When could Season 24 start? This leads to two likely dates for the start of Season 24:
- Friday, July 23 (almost a week after the end of S23)
- Friday, July 30 (almost 2 weeks after the end of S23)
However, keep in mind that these are speculations based on past seasons. An official start date for Season 24 has not yet been announced.
What can we expect in Season 24 of Diablo 3?

The big highlight – Ethereal Weapons: The season theme of S24 will be Ethereals, so-called Ethereal Weapons, with which they want to honor the legacy of Diablo 2.
These are a new type of weapon that will be obtainable during the upcoming seasonal journey. These weapons will have a powerful set of affixes, a legendary power of a class weapon, and a random passive ability of a class. Additionally, there will be unique icons, names, item types, and sounds that were originally found in Diablo II.
These killing instruments could become quite powerful in the new Season 24 and help you build strong characters with luck thanks to the legendary powers and passive abilities.
Other changes:
- There will be changes to classes – only a few for the Wizard, but more for the Monk.
- Changes to items are also planned, such as a buff for the Inna set or nerfs for the Crusader’s Valor set or the Masquerade of the Burning Carnival from the Necromancer.
