“Curse and Sewn” is an achievement from Seasonal Journeys in Diablo 3. You need to kill 350 enemies at a cursed chest. In this guide, we will show you how to do that.
What is it about? The Seasonal Journey involves successfully completing three achievements. The first one that most of you will reach after quickly leveling up to 70 is to complete a Greater Nephalem Rift of level 75 solo. But then there are still two left.
The achievement “Curse and Sewn” is relatively easy, where you need to kill 350 enemies at a cursed chest. The challenge is finding a chest that spawns that many enemies. And we will show you where to find it.
Curse and Sewn / Who would have thought? – Guide
What is the task? Essentially, you need to
- set at least Torment X
- have reached level 70
- kill 350 monsters or more at the same cursed chest
In hardcore mode, the achievement is called “Who would have thought?”
What you need to know: Keep in mind that not every cursed chest spawns as many enemies as this achievement requires. At some spots on the map, you may not be able to kill monsters fast enough to achieve this. One chest that is often recommended for “Curse and Sewn” is located in Act 5. Whether it is the only chest that is easily suitable for success is unclear. Nonetheless, this one helps immensely.

Solo or as a group: It is best to play with 2 or more players to complete the achievement without problems. Everyone should skill AOE abilities.
But don’t worry – even as a solo player, you can successfully complete “Curse and Sewn.” If you have farmed a few hundred Paragon levels and appropriate gear, you should demolish everything that spawns from the chests on Torment X. As a group, it’s just easier.
Finding the right chest – The cursed moor: Open your map and head to the overview for Act 5. In the southwest, you will find the port point “Paths of the Sunken.” Teleport there. (In a group, each member first plays their own game and teleports there.)
Around the waypoint, you will usually find an event. So, walk around the waypoint “Paths of the Sunken” – about 3 screen sizes around the port point (this means the size of an area that you see on your screen at once). So 3 down, 3 to the right, 3 up, 3 to the left. This should help you quickly find an event.
On the map, you will find at most one event. For all events that are not called “The Cursed Moor,” you can cancel the search, start a new game, teleport back to Act 5 “Paths of the Sunken,” and search for an event again.
If you find the event “The Cursed Moor,” the sought chest will appear there. That is your goal for this search. So, invite your group members to the game where the event “The Cursed Moor” is taking place.
This is what the event looks like: The cursed moor is characterized by a large hill with a path leading up it. You will quickly recognize it while wandering on the map.
How to save time: There are various events that can start in the Path of the Sunken. As dh-deluxe.de reports, you can immediately cancel the search if you find the following events:
- Lord of the Fools (This is a castle in the swamp area)
- The Reward of Betrayal (A pillar)
- Stalker (An NPC with a blue exclamation mark)
- The Burning Man (A fire event)
- The Lord of the Hill (Enemies on a hill)
Before entering the waypoint, you can cancel the search if you find the bounty “Lord of the Hill,” “the burning man,” or “Lord of the Fools” in Act 5. These would block the chest anyway, so you should search in a new game straight away.
In short:
- Start a game on Torment X
- If you are searching with multiple people, each member starts this game individually
- Open the map for Act V and check if there are any of the mentioned bounties at the waypoint “Paths of the Sunken.” If not, teleport there
- Now check the map around the waypoint for the event “The Cursed Moor”
- You will find it on a hill with a winding path leading up
- If you find another event there, end the game and start a new one to begin again at point 1
- If you find the sought event, you may invite your friends to your match before activating the chest
How to solve “Curse and Sewn”
This is how the event runs: Set up your build so that you can quickly deal a lot of area damage. Also take a look at our Tier list for Season 28 of Diablo 3.
In a group, you can spread a bit at the top of the hill so that the mobs die even faster.
Then activate the chest and shoot like mad. If you do everything right, you should comfortably manage to kill the desired 350 monsters within the provided time.
With my group, we managed that on the first try easily. We eliminated 382 enemies within the time limit.
Why do this? For completing the entire seasonal journey of Diablo 3, you receive a portrait frame and a cool companion.
