Here we explain the “Boss Mode” achievement from Diablo 3. In the guide, you will learn how to achieve the success that you can use for your seasonal journey.
What is it about? In Diablo 3, you need to complete three achievements to finish the seasonal journey. You can quickly get the first one by finishing a Greater Nephalem Rift level 75 solo. For the second achievement, we offer you this guide to Boss Mode.
Boss Mode – How does it work?
What is the task? For this achievement, you need to have reached level 70 (you can do this very quickly with our leveling guide) and set the difficulty to Torment X at minimum.
You need to kill the bosses listed below within 20 minutes after starting a game.
| Skeleton King | Butcher |
| Zoltun Kull | Ghom |
| Cydaea | Rakanoth |
| Diablo | Adria |
| Queen Araneae | Maghda |
| Belial | Siege Breaker Beast |
| Azmodan | Izual |
| Urzael | Malthael |
In Hardcore mode, the achievement is called “A Class of Its Own”
Preparation for Boss Mode
Are you strong enough? First, you should ensure that your character is well-equipped. A few hundred levels in the Paragon level should be a start. For “difficult” bosses like Urzael, you should take at most 1 minute. Easy bosses like Ghom should be defeated in a maximum of 30 seconds.
Still looking for a suitable class? Then check out our Tier List for Season 28 of Diablo 3.
Which bosses take long, and which go quickly?
Classifying the bosses: The list includes 16 bosses. The website Icy-Veins has classified these bosses into three different difficulty categories.

Solo, in pairs, or as a group?
Is it possible solo? In principle, you can achieve this achievement alone, yes. Characters like the Demon Hunter, who move extremely fast and have a high clear speed, are recommended for this. However, it is a real challenge as a lone wolf. We recommend at least 2 players for quick success.
As a group: You can tackle the bosses sequentially according to their difficulty or fight through Act by Act.
It is important that every player must be present when the boss is killed. So remember: If you teleport back to your town using your town portal (T), you will also come out at that place again if you enter the blue portal in town.
After killing a boss, you should NOT teleport back to town using “T”, but open your map (M) and click on the waypoint to the town to teleport there. This way, your portal in the town will still take you to the place where you last used the portal (in front of the boss event entrance). If the boss you found has already been killed, you can teleport back with “T” again.
Example execution: In a group of 3 players, everyone runs off simultaneously – Each to a different boss. As soon as the first player reaches the boss (do not start the event!), he informs the group briefly and teleports back to town. There the player waits.
As soon as the second player reaches a boss, this one also does NOT start the event, but informs the group and teleports back to town.
The player who reaches the boss last may start the event. The two players in town will accept it then.
While still in the boss fight, you agree on which of the other two bosses you want to defeat next. The player who has the portal at the next boss teleports after the boss using M -> click on the waypoint to town (do not use T!) into town, clicks on his portal there, and then starts the next boss event, which the other two players will accept. Then you head to the next boss in the same way.
Once all players have gone through their found boss, you proceed to the next encounters in the same manner.
The Boss Distribution
We show you here the distribution for 2, 3, or 4 player groups. You can adjust them in your preferred order.
When I played the achievement with two friends, we first agreed on who is player 1, player 2, and player 3. Then we sorted the bosses by act and difficulty.

Conclusion
If you follow this guide, you should have no problems with “Boss Mode” in Diablo 3. In our group, we had nearly 5 minutes left. We used the method with 3 players.
If you practice the teleport back on 1-2 bosses, the achievement should pose no problem. For solo players, it’s a tough challenge that will require practice.
