For a few weeks now, Season 17 has been running in Diablo 3. Are you still playing with the class you started with? Or have you switched?
This is how a season works in Diablo: Usually, you start with a specific class in a new season. For Season 17, there are various methods to choose from:
- You check out the Tier list for Season 17 and decide based on the strongest sets
- You play the class you feel like playing
- You play the same class as your main in every season anyway
- Or you let the Wheel of Fortune decide which class you will use to slaughter the monsters

This is the problem: Diablo 3 is very grind-heavy. Over and over again, you scour dungeons, collect bounties, and try to upgrade your gear just a little bit more to make further progress in the Greater Nephalem Portal.
This repetitive gameplay can quickly lead to boredom. Maybe it turns out that the new class you absolutely wanted to start with in Season 17 isn’t as cool as you thought. This causes you to lose interest in the game.

The solution: If this happens and you have less fun playing Diablo 3, many players switch their main class.
An other character is quickly leveled up to 70. Then the gearing starts all over again.
- Reach level 70
- Gather the first set
- Into the first Nephalem portals
This brings back the fun, as you see a new character advancing quickly. Possibly, the gameplay style is completely different than before, and you approach the game in a different way. You have a chance to experience more fun in Diablo 3 again.

We ask you: Have you stayed true to the class in Season 17 that you wanted to play as your main since the beginning of Season 17? Or have you already changed your mind during Season 17 and now enjoy playing another class much more?
At this point, a survey should appear. If you can’t see it, just follow this link to our Apester survey.
Let us know in the comments how you manage the classes in Season 17 and whether you still remain true to your starter class.
According to insiders, this year’s BlizzCon will be particularly interesting for Diablo fans:
