Diablo 2 Resurrected is all about loot and treasure. The best magical items are not found with the goblin around the corner, but in certain locations. We at MeinMMO show you in our guide how you can farm the best magical items.
How to find magical items? Important for farming magical items in Diablo 2 Resurrected is a high value in “Magic Find”. So make sure that your farming build has this value as high as possible.
Also, you should farm in the difficulty level “Hell” in areas of level 85. That’s where you’ll find the best loot. We have listed which locations are suitable in the following paragraphs.
The best farming spots from Act I
The following locations in the first act offer you good chances to score top loot.
The Forgotten Tower
Where is it? You can find this zone in the Black Marsh region. Look near the waypoint for the tower.
Which boss can you farm? Here you will find the Countess in the tower, a super-unique boss.
What is the loot? The Countess is a good source for runes. Depending on the difficulty level, you can find different types here:
- Normal: El to Ral runes
- Nightmare: El to Io and Ko
- Hell: El to Ist and Lo
Mausoleum
Where is it? Go to the cemetery, in the quest zone for the Blood Raven quest.
Which boss can you farm? The Mausoleum zone contains various bosses that are immune to lightning.
What is the loot? In Hell difficulty, this is the first level 85 zone. This means you can successfully farm good items here.
Pit
Where is it? The Pit is located in the Tamoe Highlands. Just go down the road from the monastery, and you will find the Pit.
Which boss can you farm? Here you’ll find plenty of simple monsters that drop good loot.
What is the loot? In Hell, this is a level 85 zone, which promises extra cool loot.
Catacombs
Where is it? You reach the Catacombs at the end of Act I. Go all the way to level 4 to the boss Andariel.
Which boss can you farm? Here, the Act boss Andariel is your target. She is one of the most popular bosses you can farm.
What is the loot? As an Act boss, Andariel promises massive loot that gets better with each difficulty level.

The best farming spots from Act II
The following locations in the second act offer you good chances to find optimal loot.
The Ancient Tunnels
Where is it? Look for a trapdoor leading underground in the Lost City.
Which boss can you farm? Here you simply farm the usual wildlife.
What is the loot? Here awaits another level 85 zone, providing top loot for little effort.
Worms’ Tomb
Where is it? You can find this disgusting place in the Far Oasis. Go down to the third level.
Which boss can you farm? The boss you will encounter here is called “Coldworm the Burrower”. He is easy to kill.
What is the loot? You will find several good chests here, and the boss is super-unique.
Secret Sanctuary
Where is it? You arrive here towards the end of Act II.
Which boss can you farm? Here, you are more after chests. As a Sorceress, you can easily teleport from chest to chest.
What is the loot? Here, you can mainly farm runes well.
The best farming spots from Act III
If you want to farm in Act III, you can hardly avoid the following places. Most zones are fairly small and can be easily covered in a large farming tour.
Forgotten Temple
Where is it? You can find this place in Upper Kurast.
Which boss can you farm? Here you simply farm whatever comes before your blade.
What is the loot? Here awaits you a zone with level 85. That’s top loot for little effort.
Fallen Temple and Abandoned Reliquary
Where is it? These two zones are located on the dam of Kurast.
Which boss can you farm? Just kill the monsters here and loot them.
What is the loot? Here you will find a level 85 zone each, providing very good loot.
Dungeon of Hatred
Where is it? You reach this place at the end of Act III.
Which boss can you farm? The great demon lord Mephisto is your target here.
What is the loot? Mephisto is the most popular boss who has been killed countless times by Diablo players. He is particularly easy to defeat for ranged fighters as he constantly gets stuck somewhere.
The best farming spots from Act IV
The relatively short Act IV offers two attractive farming spots.
Flame River
Where is it? The Flame River is the second to last zone in Act IV.
Which boss can you farm? Here, too, you will encounter plenty of simple enemies that are particularly easy to take down as close combat fighters.
What is the loot? Here the level is also 85, promising good and easy loot to farm.
The Chaos Sanctuary
Where is it? In Diablo’s realm, you come here at the end of the act.
Which boss can you farm? Here, the regular enemies are also a good source of loot. But be careful, they fight back fiercely. So don’t neglect your equipment to be protected from them.
What is the loot? The loot level is approximately the same as that of the Flame River.
The best farming spots from Act V
In the Act of the expansion, there are particularly cool places to farm loot.
Icy Highlands
Where is it? You reach this area during the course of Act V.
Which boss can you farm? Here, the boss “Eldritch the Rectifier” is your target. He is north of the waypoint. Then go south and enter the bloody foothills. There you will encounter another boss named “Schenk the Overseer”.
What is the loot? Both bosses are super-unique and can therefore drop particularly good loot.
The Worldstone Keep
Where is it? At the end of Act V, you come here.
Which boss can you farm? The three levels of the Worldstone Keep contain primarily lucrative monsters that one should farm.
What is the loot? All areas here are level 85 and therefore the best loot in the game should drop here. But beware, the monsters are not exactly defenseless.
