Diablo 2 Resurrected is set to officially release in 2021. Before that, there will be two alphas, as Blizzard explained, and the single-player part will be tested first.
What did Blizzard say about the alphas? Lead Producer Chris Lena explained in an interview with PCGamesN that players will participate in two alpha phases. The first one will focus on the single-player part of the hack and slash Diablo 2 Resurrected. The second will be a multiplayer stress test.
We will start with a technical alpha of the single-player part and then we will have a second technical alpha which will be a multiplayer stress test.

When do the alphas start? There is currently no date. It is only said that they will take place before the release of the action RPG, which is planned for 2021.
What is the purpose of these test phases? Players should help shape the future of Diablo 2 Resurrected, which was announced at BlizzCon 2021. For example, the team hopes for a lot of feedback on balancing, which can be adjusted based on the testers’ opinions.

How to register for the alphas: Even though there is no date yet, it is already possible to register for the test phases. You can do this via the official website of Diablo 2 Resurrected. There you click on the button “Sign up for the technical alpha” and then log in with your Battle.net account.
With a little luck, you will be selected for the tests as soon as they start, Blizzard will notify you then.

What can you expect with Diablo 2 Resurrected? The hack and slash is a remaster of the classic from 2000. Blizzard basically just wants to modernize the graphics, for which a nice 3D engine will be used.
