What are these builds? For many fans, the Amazon is the best choice when it comes to dealing damage. Especially in groups, she is often taken as a pure DPS character.
Among the 7 classes of Diablo 2: Resurrected, she stands out because she can deal both physical and magical damage. This makes her extremely versatile. 2 builds are particularly good:
- The Bowazon for physical damage at range, especially against groups
- The Javazon as an absolute boss killer with insane lightning damage

Bowazon – Glass Cannon with AoE Damage
These skills you need:
- Dodge (Passive and magical) – 1 point
- Avoid (Passive and magical) – 20 points
- Evasion (Passive and magical) – 1 point
- Critical Strike (Passive and magical) – 20 points
- Penetrate (Passive and magical) – 20 points
- Pierce (Passive and magical) – 20 points
- Magic Arrow – 1 point
- Cold Arrow – 1 point
- Guided Arrow – 20 points
- Multi-Shot – ~6 points
Guided Arrow is your most important skill against single targets, Multi-Shot against groups. However, investing more points in Multi-Shot is not worth it, as it only increases mana costs and the number of arrows.
Only spend as many points as needed to fire about 13 arrows per shot and keep in mind that +skill items can save skill points.
Pierce is the most important ability in the passive skill tree that is responsible for your damage. It guarantees that you pierce through your enemies with your skills, allowing you to efficiently clear groups.
This is how you should allocate your attribute points:
- Strength – Enough to carry the appropriate gear
- Dexterity – All remaining points
- Vitality – No points
- Focus – No points
The build is extremely fragile with this allocation, so you must be careful not to let enemies reach you. If this feels too dangerous, you can instead invest only as many points in Dexterity as needed to wear your items. The rest should then be invested in Vitality, but this means sacrificing a large amount of damage and taking longer to kill enemies.
What items are important? For Bowazons, the priority is quite clear. You take as much increased attack speed as possible. This is also a problem, as the stat is not necessarily common on strong items.
Especially important is the rune word “Faith” as a weapon. In our guide, we show you all rune words and how to create them. For the rest of your gear, you should pay attention to the following attributes:
- Deathblow
- life leech per hit/kill
- mana leech per hit/kill
- increased movement speed
You should also have a Hellfire Torch in your inventory, as this is extremely useful for any build. A companion that is an offensive mercenary from Act 2 is suitable, which you equip with items that emit supportive auras. The companion is only there to strengthen you, he hardly fights himself.
How do I play the build? Basically, the Bowazon plays similarly to a Multi-Shot Demon Hunter from Diablo 3. You stay at range and annihilate large groups of enemies with your Multi-Shot.
Since you always pierce enemies, you also hit enemies in the back row. Against single targets, you use Guided Arrow, as this deals significantly more damage than your Multi-Shot.
It is important that you stand far away. You can’t take much damage and should kill enemies before they reach you – which is why movement speed is an important stat. However, only individual enemies with high health that you can’t kill quickly enough or those with immunity to physical damage will be truly dangerous to you. Javazon – The Fastest Boss Killer in the Game
These skills you need:
- Passive and magical – 1 point each in:
- Critical Strike
- Pierce
- Jab
- Inner Sight
- Charged Strike
- Decoy
- Jab – 1 point
- Poison Javelin – 1 point
- Energy Strike – 20 points
- Lightning Strike – 20 points
- Charged Strike – 20 points
- Chain Lightning – 20 points
- Poison Javelin – 1 point
- Static Field – 20 points
Try to get Charged Strike as soon as possible since this skill will be your most important tool against enemies. You will use it against both single enemies and smaller groups.
Static Field will become important later when you face larger hordes. You will rarely use Chain Lightning and Lightning Strike actively, these skills only serve to enhance your other abilities.
This is how you should allocate your attribute points:
- Strength – Enough to carry the appropriate gear
- Dexterity – Enough for items or to have 75% block chance (only with shield and only hardcore)
- Vitality – All remaining points should go into Vitality
- Focus – No points
What items are important? You absolutely need 2 items for the build: the Griffon’s Eye (headpiece) for yourself and the rune word “Infinity” for your mercenary. Griffon’s Eye increases your lightning damage and “Infinity” reduces the lightning resistance of the enemy.

- +Skills
- life and mana leech
- resistances
+Skill items help you further increase your damage. Therefore, make sure to get a Hellfire Torch as soon as possible, even if it may seem tedious at the beginning.
With the Javazon, you have to constantly juggle to balance your resistances and your damage. Therefore, do not focus too much on individual stats, but rather look at what you currently need. Javazons are more intended for more experienced players. Here you can find the best farm spots if you still need to collect your gear:
How do I play the build? Basically, the Javazon is quite simple: against single enemies, you use Charged Strike, and against groups of about 6-7 enemies, you use Static Field. Use Decoy to lure in multiple enemies and then take them down.
Importantly, you can only really play Javazons at higher levels when your mercenary is equipped with “Infinity”.
By reducing lightning resistances, certain enemies will no longer be immune to your attacks and will take (more) damage. Alternatively, you can use Jab against such enemies, but this puts you at risk of dying to them.
