The Korean action MMORPG Devilian will start a closed beta in October.
What is going on with October? We have been waiting for something to happen the whole time. And apparently, everyone had the same idea: Let’s start at the end of October!
Devilian joins the long list of new games that are slowly getting on their feet. From October 22 at 7:00 PM to October 26 at 7:00 PM our time, the first closed beta test will take place.

Devilian relies on ArcheAge model with exclusive permanent alpha testers
Trion Worlds seems to have opted for the pre-release phase of Devilian following the “ArcheAge model”. Certainly also for economic reasons. The alpha access comes with a hefty price of 150€.
The model works like this: An alpha that you can buy into runs continuously. Closed beta tests take place at intervals. At the end, there will be a big open beta. Then everything kicks off: the head start begins and after that, the release for everyone will come.
Devilian is an action MMORPG that aims to combine the best features of hack’n slashes like Diablo 3 with the depth of MMORPGs like Tera. The various classes of Devilian are presented here.
