The most Boomer shooters in the spirit of Doom do not hold back on blood or explicit violence. The upcoming game Fortune’s Run had a warning for a specific scene, but this was Steam probably not explicit enough, and according to the developer, the game was initially not allowed to be released.

But the days before the release were turbulent for the developer, as the developer posted on Twitter, Steam blocked the release of the game. According to the developer, this was due to 2 reasons. The first being a gameplay problem in the tutorial, which has since been solved, but the 2nd problem was a scene and the accompanying warning.

As the developer states in the Twitter post, there is a scene in the game that deals with sexual violence. Due to this scene, the developer wanted to set up a content warning in both the game itself and on the Steam page to warn players.
The developer finds the depicted scene so disgusting that a prior warning and an option to deactivate the content is required.
However, Steam saw this differently according to the developer and found the scene not explicit
enough to justify these warnings.
As the next step, the developer wanted to remove the content warning from the Steam page to secure the imminent release.
Was the developer successful? As the developer now confirms in their latest Twitter post, the removal of the content warning was successful and the game was approved for release by Steam. Thus, nothing stands in the way of the release on 28.09.2023.
While the developer is not completely satisfied, there is still a content warning in the game itself and the ability to remove and filter this content in the game.
