At the Steam Next Fest, interested players were able to try various titles in a demo. The lucky winner is an indie title described by its developers as “very niche.”
What kind of game is this? Tiny Glade proves that you don’t always need blood and violence to be successful. The indie title is a “small, relaxing castle-building game.” We can build the castles without restrictions, as the game places each component in the right spot.

The visuals already indicate that this is a cozy game. The cozy lighting atmosphere, muted pastel colors, and cuddly sheep create a relaxing effect. There are no fights, challenges, or time pressure.

Tiny Glade breaks the 1 Million Wishlist mark
How successful is it? Even before the Steam Next Fest, Tiny Glade was able to accumulate around 800,000 wishlist entries. After players could test the demo, another 200,000 players came on board. The indie developer Pounce Light is thrilled to have broken the 1 million wishlist mark:
The development team states that they thought their game was too niche for such a big success. However, Tiny Glade is now ranking 16th among the most wished games on Steam. Even Path of Exile 2 or Silent Hill 2 are behind this cozy game (via SteamDB).
For Pounce Light, this is a gigantic success, as Tiny Glade is already their first game that is a huge hit. The team consists of only two people who founded the development studio in September 2022 (via IGDB).
What’s next? The two developers want to take a break first (via Steam). Afterwards, they plan to focus on preparing for the game’s release. The launch is already aimed for the 3rd quarter of 2024.
