Genshin Impact has many playable characters for players to choose from. The developer miHoYo reveals who is currently at the forefront.
What do the developers say? In an interview with the colleagues from Polygon, the developers named the character Fischl as the players’ favorite. According to miHoYo, the internal statistics show that the Princess of Condemnation is actively used by most players.
While the gap between the individual characters is not overwhelmingly large, Fischl still managed to fight her way to the top. Developer miHoYo said about this:
Every character will have their own fan base, and we believe it is best to let the players decide for themselves who their favorites are.

This result coincidentally overlaps with our user survey. MeinMMO readers could vote on which characters they like best, and Fischl emerged as the winner in the race.
Why is Fischl popular? The Princess of Condemnation Fischl is a rather eccentric and mysterious character who was banished from the world of Immernachtreich. Since then, she travels together with her raven Oz through Teyvat and “watches and weaves the threads of fate”.
Fischl is also a really powerful character. She is an Electro user who uses a bow and is extremely mobile. Although she is “only” a 4-star character, she can still deal substantial damage. She is ranked among the S-tier characters and is one of the best supports in the game.
Some players in the Genshin Impact community call her “Machine Gun Fischl”, either because of her fast builds or due to the animation canceling method that further increases her damage output.

Moreover, the eccentric style of the character is likely very appealing to many players, and her handling in the game is relatively simple, which may also contribute to her popularity.
