The Chinese developer mihoYo/HoYoverse is famous for the game Genshin Impact. They are now working on a new anime RPG called Zenless Zone Zero and are starting a beta test on August 5, 2022.
What kind of game is this? Zenless Zone Zero‘ is an action shooter that is set to take place in an open world. The anime RPG graphically resembles Persona 5 at first glance, which is also an action-packed role-playing game. Zenless Zone Zero‘ throws you into the city of New Eridu, where you can explore and fight enemies. The game world is said to be “alive and paranormal.”
There are labyrinths to conquer, so presumably some sort of dungeon. The homepage states that you can enter these with your “Squad,” so a multiplayer mode cannot be ruled out.
Alternatively, “Squad” could mean that you have different characters on your team that you control all by yourself, as is the case in Genshin Impact. Here you can find an overview of the best characters in Genshin Impact.
There is currently no more information about the gameplay. This will likely change with the beta.

How can I participate in the beta? If you want to join, you have to hurry. Until the evening of July 27, you can visit the website and click on the “Sign Up” button at the top right. You will need to provide your email address and answer some questions about your interests and games you have played.
After that, you will receive a code by email to verify yourself. Whether you are in will also be communicated to you by email.
