The Twitch streamer Asmongold introduced more than 30 indie games with his content organization One True King (OTK). A German development studio thanked the streamers on X.
What kind of game is this? Solarpunk is a survival game that focuses on a rather cozy atmosphere. Together with friends, players can build, breed, craft, and explore the game world using an airship.
Solarpunk is being developed by the Essen studio Cyberwave. In addition to the release on Steam, the survival game is also set to be released for PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X|S.
Solarpunk was one of the games showcased at the OTK Games Expo 2024, which seems to have given the game an additional push.

What a show it was? The OTK Games Expo is an annual event organized by the content group One True King, centered around the Twitch streamer Asmongold, who also acted as the host. The 3.5-hour live show primarily showcases games from smaller developers.
On the official website, it is advertised that indie hits like Brotato, Dorfromantik, and Choo-Choo Charles were “supercharged,” meaning the hype was truly “revved up.”
What does this mean for the developers? On X, formerly Twitter, the developers reported the significance such an event has for them: Three years ago, they released their first game. While it had not been successful, it gave them hope to continue pursuing their dreams.
Now, hundreds of thousands of people have seen their latest trailer, which was live-streamed by “top-tier streamers.” “We are incredibly grateful!” write the developers along with a mention of Asmongold and the OTK Games Expo account.

Did it bring any results? On June 5, 2024, the day after the expo, the developers celebrated 500,000 wishlist entries on Steam. This was a “huge milestone,” and they were very grateful for the support (via X).
It is difficult to determine how many of these new entries can be attributed to the OTK Games Expo. The last count before the event was 400,000 wishlist entries on April 29, 2024 (via X). Currently, Solarpunk is ranked 30th among the most wanted games on Steam.
Among the games presented were Solarpunk, the shooter Wild Bastards, and the city-builder Pioneers of Pagonia.
