In the MMO shooter Destiny , players will never need to create a new Guardian.
In an interview with GamesRadar+, Engineering Lead Luke Timmens stated what many Destiny players (and their characters!) want to hear: “You will keep your Guardian.” It is taken very seriously that Destiny is supposed to last for 10 years. And the players are given their word, a contract is made with them: Your Guardian will always be there for you, no matter what happens. Even through expansions and sequels . There will be no need to create a new character.
Bungie will always add new things to the game, so even though the gameplay will change in 2, 5, or 10 years, the Guardian will always remain the same.
