In Destiny , the exotic rocket launcher Gjallarhorn returns with “Rise of Iron.” How do you get your hands on this weapon?
Guardians who pre-ordered “The Awakening of the Iron Lords” can now find the Iron Gjallarhorn in their post office. However, there is a problem: the robot at the post office is not just handing it out. You first need the Year 3 Gjallarhorn. How do you get this weapon?
The Echoes of the Past lead you to the Year 3 Gjallarhorn – Quest
Bungie responded via Twitter to the question of how to acquire the Gjallarhorn rocket launcher in Year 3. On one hand, it requires a good dose of bravery; on the other, a quest.
The quest is called “Beauty in Destruction.” You obtain it through the quest line “Echoes of the Past”. At the end of the quest, you will obtain the G-Horn and you can pick up the Iron Gjallarhorn.
You can access the “Echoes of the Past” quest line early in the game, even before you have completed the campaign. At the end of the 5 story missions, the second step begins in the new social space Felwinter Peak with Tyra Karn.
What does the Iron Gjallarhorn do?
These are the perks of the Iron Gjallarhorn:
- Wolfpack Rounds: Rounds split into tracking cluster bombs upon detonation.
- Tracking: Projectiles fired from this weapon track their target.
You have the choice between:
- Quickdraw: This weapon can be drawn quickly.
- Snapshot: Aiming is super quick with this weapon.
- Fast Reload: Reload this weapon faster.
With Soft Launch, Smart Drift Control, and Linear Compensator, you can adjust recoil, range, and speed.
