Xur has a weapon in Destiny 1 that many Guardians have waited for a long time in vain.
The Agent of the Nine has a pretty thankless task in the Destiny universe: He appears every Friday to cheerfully show Guardians his inventory, only to be mocked, insulted, or ignored. This was already the case in Destiny 1 and it remains the same in Destiny 2.
The reason for this: As the game progresses, the chances that Xur will bring exactly the Exotics that one still lacks decrease. Because by then, you have almost all exotic items in your collection. And if Xur only has items in his inventory that “you’ve already gotten a dozen times,” then, of course, people will complain about him and his stinginess.
Xur is now putting on his generous pants
Since the Destiny 2 launch, we have actually only been reporting on Xur’s visits in Destiny 2 on Mein-MMO.de. However, these weeks, Xur in Destiny 1 is also making headlines. Because he finally brings the items that Guardians waited for months in vain:
Last week he had the Transversive Steps, which some Guardians prayed for every week. And this week he brings the Jade Rabbit!
The special thing about “The Jade Rabbit” is that the scout rifle once counted among the PlayStation-exclusive content. It was introduced with The Taken King in fall 2015 and was only obtainable on PlayStation for a good two years. Therefore, Xur did not bring this weapon for two years – after all, his inventory is identical on PS4 and Xbox One.
Recently, since early October 2017, all former PlayStation-exclusive content from Destiny 1 is also available on Xbox – and now Xur seized the opportunity and brought the Jade Rabbit.
You can buy the Exotic from Xur between October 27th at 11 AM and October 29th at 10 AM for 29 Strange Coins. He is located in the Tower of Destiny 1 opposite Lord Shaxx.
This news about Destiny 1 is spreading like wildfire on the Destiny Reddit and even temporarily took the top spot. Not only Xbox players are logging back into the “old Destiny”, but also numerous PlayStation Guardians who have been unlucky with drops in recent years. After all, the collection wants to be completed and at least a little bit shot at the enemies!
What is the Jade Rabbit anyway?
The Jade Rabbit is an exotic scout rifle that deals kinetic damage and has an extremely high range. Impact and aim assist are also high, making it relatively easy to take down an enemy from a distance with the Jade Rabbit. The magazine holds 7 rounds.
The exotic perk is:
- Fate of All Fools: Chains body shots to gain bonus damage for the next precision shot, and returns ammunition to the magazine.
The scout rifle is very similar to the “Fate of All Fools,” which never really made it into the game and remains a unique item, that Bungie left to a seriously ill Guardian.
The Jade Rabbit itself is also a special weapon: It is the most recognized representative of the extremely rare daito weapons. Daito is a weapon manufacturer that has a flower as a logo, which you can see here on the Jade Rabbit:
